"Competition Package" Available for March?

To add more speculation to the table:

Went in before X-Mas to put in an order for a MY10 E92 M3. The plan was to order the 'Edition' Model, and add Frozen Grey as an option. While BMW Canada was happy to approve my order, they stated "in the New Year, we will be announcing a package with Frozen Grey -- similar to the M6 Competition Package".

Food for thought...in any event..I want a confirmation soon, so I can place my order!!!

It will be a 2011 as both Coupe & Cabs start 2011 model year with March production.I am waiting to order a 335is cab for my wife to replace her 07.

One big concern.....is the new LED taillights exchangeable with current M3's taillights, I mean are they in the same shape? As far I have noticed from the spied shots, I think the answer is "Yes" , anyone knows?

the shapes are the same i believe but electricals are much different ive read

Taillights are not a problem. The real question is about headlights. The E92/93 get LED corona rings as the new 5 GT F07 and 5 F10. The shape changes aswell, but not for E90/92/93 M3. So the question would be if the M3 will get LED corona rings and LED blinkers yet keeping the same shape as the actual E92/93 headlights?

I think the answer is most likely "no", unfortunately. Admittedly, that is just a strong hunch.

Based on a recent spy shot that was posted recently (I'll try to dig it up), it looks like the LCI E9x M3 will get the LED angels, but not the LED turn signals up front. Of course, it's hard to tell what kind of bulb the assembly will have just by looking at a spy shot.
