No, but I generally don't blast it through neighborhoods, etc.

I'm considering getting an exhaust, but I want to know what the likehood of getting harassed by the police is. Just trying to weigh the positives and negatives because I want the RPI full, and I know it's pretty loud. I know cops generally pull over Japanese cars that have exhaust.

I have a friend with the full Gintani system w/o cats, still hasn't been pulled over *knock on wood*. I ride shotgun with him a good amount and nothing from the police. Just second looks of envy.

Mine's stock except for the rims and tires and when I was driving through Sunset, a cop tailed me waiting for me to mess up. If it wasn't for the truck cutting me off and almost hitting me, he probably would've eventually pulled me over. I just hate what would've happened if I had the exhaust on.

I was pulled over in the R8 on PCH for no front plate. He then questioned me on whether or not my exhaust was modified (it's not). Looks like you can get a ticket for just about anything nowadays.

Nope, I think alot of Honda's and Acura's are louder than me. Never really got too much attention. *knocks on wood*

Exhaust are not fix-it ticket, you'll just have to pay the fine.

You'll just have to void every cop you see if you have a loud exhaust.

I do not have tinted windows and I have a front license plate I hope this doesnt give them any reason to pull me over and ask questions! So far, so good!! The Eisenman makes is hard to tell if the cool sound is coming from the engine or the exhaust--- great combo!!

We have heard quite a few stories from local clients sharing with us their experience with LA police.
Based on what I heard so far, a majority of our clients with aftermarket exhausts that are pulled over in LA, are cars from Japan that have large, circular canisters that you can hear before you can see. Based on what I have learned, a majority of the higher end Euro cars, are not harassed as often. Just my .02. -Hunter |

Hence why I stepped into an M3, I got hassled alot when driving my 1.8T GTI with 3" turboback... now cops comment on how nice the M3 is!! Granted I I dont have a exhaust now, but Im sure I wont be bothered even if I had one b/c my buddy in a modified A4 (kitted up and big turbo) with catless turboback also has commented that he never gets bothered and the cops also give him positive comments! haha... cops... ridiculous! Also this may be because we are in the OC Beach cities.. Ive always heard LA area is a little bit more strict.

Just curious how do I go about if you end up getting an ''exhaust ticket''?
Just curious because ive heard people having to go to ref stations, but I think they closed all the ref stations down. so do you just pay the fine + local sheriff's office to have it signed off? Do they check the full exhaust on a hoise or something or do they just use DB meeter and smell the exhaust-fumes to make sure cats are there? Sry for the one-year-bump!

I had a run in with the cops. Got pulled over at around 4 am in Korea Town. I had the Remus at the time. Cops asked me if the exhaust was stock I told him no. He had me follow his pen light then told me to have a good day. I was lucky.
