As for modifications, some people enjoy the journey to personalize the looks, some the sound, some enjoy trying to squeeze all the power out if the engine and others just want to drive their car. Hell, some even want to build 1000HP strokers to break 1 mile records!!! To each their own. No one path is "better." Variety is the spice of life. Without different tastes, life would be soooo boring. Cheers,

look for a used exhaust in the classified section of this forum. You can easily pick one up for under $1000. I got mine for about $800 and it was only used for a few thousand miles

I bought a used Megan for $300. It is a little loud for me with my resonated x pipe but I get a lot of positive comments. It does sound good. Had it for several years.

I agree, if you can avoid legal fees from your trunk occupants getting away, that'll save you a ton of trouble and money

Are the stock cats just bolted in, so it's as easy as unbolting the front cats and bolting in the test pipes then tuning out the CEL?

You wouldn't believe. Out of all the mods that costs good amount of money; the one cosmetic mod that stands out is the 'custom European number plate' . Many took picture of my E92 and asked what I have changed in the car to make it look different after the number plate mod. High ROI for $50

Is there actually room to reinstall the cats with the rear clamps? It'd bolt up to the headers the same as before, but I didn't realize you could clamp the rear and effectively return to stock. This would make emissions swaps a little easier.

I used a Passport 8500 X50 for 8 years before I realized it's basically useless in my neck of the woods. State troopers all use laser guns so by the time my detector picks it up, it's too late.
