Figured I'd share this mounting solution. Just tested it this weekend at Pueblo and it worked really nicely!
iOttie - iTap 2 Magnetic Dash $24 at Bestbuy I cut the adhesive disk to match the suction cup diameter. There's just enough room to place the disk on the dash of the instrument gauge. I first tried it directly in the middle but opted to cover the speedometer/gas given the Solo DL pulls this on my display page. I wanted to see all the dummy lights, and computer info screen. The suction cup is super sticky and utilizes a lever for extra pull strength. The magnets on the IOttie are very strong and securely hold the Solo mounting plate and Solo without any movement. I ran 4 run groups, collectively over ~ 100 mins driving plus to/from the track and it didn't move at all! Super solid. Ran the CAN cord down through the bottom of the steering column and out the footwell trim; nicely out of the way. Only frustration, even after I've turned off the car and the Solo directly it incessantly powers itself on. Seems like a simple software fix... Anyone had any luck instead of unplugging the cable? Lastly, any word on when the IOS App is going to release?
