Hey Guys, been tracking for several years now and have Ohlins R/T set at 15mm (recommended setting which is right in the middle of their adjustment range) and running EC7 Apex 18x10 et25 with NT01 285/35/18...
Today noticed a lot of a rubbing sound coming from the loaded (outside) side of the car in lower speed turns but I can't say for sure it's front liner. I looked today and if there was additional wear in there it wasn't dramatic but maybe it doesn't take much to make a nasty sound. I'm wondering if this is due to the soft spring of the ohlins and the weight of our cars, especially when loaded laterally. I did also notice the tire is moving on the wheel so wondering if the friction between wheel/tire can make that rubbing sound. Had fresh tires mounted and they really greased up the wheels to mount tires. Moved about 1in per session today- pic attached- I marked tire at valve stem and you can see how the grease is being pulled away from the wheel from centrifugal force up the sidewall. Basically want to figure out if I need to move to a stiffer spring or if this is a wheel/tire issue. I didn't see any flat spots today so that's good news...

Have you taken the wheels off and inspected the fender liners for wear? That and wear on the tire itself will be the first indicator of rubbing occurring.
With regards to the wheel rotating on the rim - I also recently had this happen running 275 NT01's, however there shouldn't be any noise associated with this. Get them remounted and DO NOT use grease on track wheels. Use a water soluble solution that will evaporate after the tire has been mounted or this issue will persist. |

Also, post your latest alignment specs (and when it was done).

-3.3 front camber, can't recall the toe/caster and can't find my last alignment sheet now :/
Anyone else have constant rub issues on track with an "upgraded" suspension? Yeah, I've had some minimal wear there for years, from what I can tell it hasn't really got worse. To totally remove the rub I'm likely going to need to up the spring rates. Ohlins front are like 350-360lb/ft
