whenever i start my car and drive it, i can put it in cruise control then once i go over like 60 and put it in 5th it doesn't work at all, then stops working when i'm in lower gears also, until i turn the car off and wait a couple hours, it'll go in to cruise when i turn it back on, and it'll do the same thing, but it's unpredictable sometimes when the cruise control will not work, so far, hasn't work at all

Cruise control systems rely on a functioning brake pedal switch. If the signal is "implausible", then the cruise control system has no way to tell it when to deactivate. If you have a way to interrogate the vehicle's various computers for DTCs, that would be the best way to go forward. |
