2.25ID rear lower spring pad

I’m swapping out my stock rear springs with 2.25ID springs and will be using the ground control articulating adjusters which sit on top of the spring. How about the bottom though? Do I reuse the stock bottom spring pad?

Bimmerworld customer service suggested I reuse the stock pad but I’m reading posts on forums where people use no pad at all.

When I ran my MCS setup I had no spring pad at all. Never had an issue. Of all the spring sizes too 2.25" ID will need something the least.
