Studio RSR Roll Bars/Half Cages - Fabricated In-House with Custom Colors Available

What’s going on everyone, Richard from Studio RSR here. I just wanted to give an introduction to our half cages for those that are not familiar. We also have our Driver’s Mod Sale currently going on which gives deep discounts on cages (Save up to $800).

Some information about our cages is that each one is built to order in house here in Southern California. Since they are made to order, each one has a 6-8 week lead time. All we need is a deposit and we can get started on production for yours.





StudioRSR has developed an outstanding rollcage / rollbar (half-cage) for the E46/E90/E92/E93 M3/3-series chassis to fulfill motorsport, HPDE, and track-day needs. Increased chassis rigidity and safety combined with a modern design, befit of the newer models, makes the StudioRSR M3 roll cage the premium option available in the market.

Designed and manufactured in-house, StudioRSR uses the latest manufacturing technologies to create this upgrade with **NASA Racing specifications** and wide-radius bends. There is zero metal crimping and zero tubing wall failure that is often seen from alternative roll cages. The Tesseract half-cage is 100% bolt-in featuring a 4-point optimum mounting design with form-fitted brackets specific to the E92 chassis. Professional installation is recommended, but installation is made easy with chromoly interlocking tubing clamps, zero welding, and all necessary hardware included. Additionally, street-spec classed vehicles can retain their rear seats if preferred. Available in-house at StudioRSR or shipped direct to you or your preferred Dealer/Installer internationally. The Tesseract half-cage consists of 2 main pieces making installation and shipping even easier.

The development of the Tesseract roll cage / roll bar came about from customer demands from StudioRSR's track/enthusiast clientele from their previous generation E36 M3 or E46 M3. With several clients and some of our own staff now licensed and racing within several NASA & SCCA Racing, HPDE, and Time Trial classes, a professional motorsport solution was needed to maintain manufacturing quality in-house. As a specific benefit, the visual aesthetic matches the aggressive, modern design of the BMW E46/E92 M3 perfectly.

The E92 M3 has two styles of roll bars(half cages). The first one is our Tesseract Style where the main legs mount to the floor and the rear legs mount above the rear seat bench. The GTS Style is what we would recommend for taller drivers due to more freedom of adjustability. The main legs mount to the front of the rear benchand the rear legs mount to the back of the rear bench. I have attached pictures of each below.

Im still waiting on mine which was ordered Dec 23, 2021 and can never get a hold of anyone at Studio RSR for updates.

Interested on more details on the Tesseract Style cage. Can you share more pictures. Seems I can still fit some tires under it vs gts style.

That's absolutely correct. The Tesseract style can fit 2 in the back seat and 2 in the trunk while the GTS can only fit 2 in the trunk.

This is the Tesseract Style with the bent leg but if the car will be seeing any track time, you should definitely go with the straight leg. I'll shoot you a PM!

It seems like it's being inferred that the tesseract style is an aesthetic modification if it's not recommended for track use. Is that fair?

Not necessarily because the legs can still be straight in that design. If there's a bent leg with the Tesseract cage, then I would not recommend for track use but a straight leg would be no problem.

It's mostly a personal preference because some drivers like to fit 4 wheels/tires in the back which can be done with the Tesseract cage but not with the GTS cage. The GTS cage will be able to fit 2 wheels/tires in the trunk without a problem though.
