Regarding stuffing wires behind the CIC unit, can someone who had another unit previously (Andream etc.) and switched to Mr12Volt comment on fitting the quadlock?
Is it the same? One of the attraction of this for me is that the unit can be stuffed next to glovebox and wiring on the side in the passenger footwell and there's no need to connect anything to the iDrive controller. |

Anyone had issues with m12v system working normal when in the p2000 but when you go to the oem menus the picture is glitchy and not readable? Audio works with the p2000 and also via oem fm radio etc. only issue is no picture of oem menus. Normal ability to toggle back and forth via menu button.

Anyone in SoCal that has done the rear camera? I’ve had the camera for a while now but I suck at wiring stuff so was seeing if anyone out there willing to assist? I figure I would just cut the wires so I can route them through the weather tubing and just resolder it. Dm me and let me know thanks

So firstly check the security of the LVDS connections of the cable. If this is all OK then I'd be contacting Mr12volt with the issue. They'll probably say to check all connections, so you can be ahead of that one by doing it anyway. Then they'll go for the cheaper option first, which is to replace the LVDS input/output cable, then, and only then, if that doesn't cure the fault they will replace the box (that's assuming it's in warranty!).

I got a camera with the slim connector to avoid this, but in another car, I just snipped the wire and reconnected it. Much better then stuffing the connector through and damaging existing wiring or the boot. |

You need to code out the cd changer. I used BimmerCode but there are others.
