I added mr12v after removing the iPod adaptor from the setup and in theory it should work but doesn't.

I can get video output plugging the screen into mr12v but not audio (as not in the MOST network).

Adding it into the MOST network results in no video but I get audio.

I cannot for the life of me figure this out.

It should work but just doesn't, tried two different mr12v units.
Might sound like a dumb question, but did you code out the cd changer?

Regarding stuffing wires behind the CIC unit, can someone who had another unit previously (Andream etc.) and switched to Mr12Volt comment on fitting the quadlock?
Is it the same?
One of the attraction of this for me is that the unit can be stuffed next to glovebox and wiring on the side in the passenger footwell and there's no need to connect anything to the iDrive controller.

My guess is you have a bad P2000 unit. I had the same thing happen, messaged tech support from m12v and they sent out a new unit. But another option since you said you have a factory cd changer would be regarding the FO loop connector you need to install at the trunk cd player.

Anyone had issues with m12v system working normal when in the p2000 but when you go to the oem menus the picture is glitchy and not readable? Audio works with the p2000 and also via oem fm radio etc. only issue is no picture of oem menus. Normal ability to toggle back and forth via menu button.

Anyone in SoCal that has done the rear camera? I’ve had the camera for a while now but I suck at wiring stuff so was seeing if anyone out there willing to assist? I figure I would just cut the wires so I can route them through the weather tubing and just resolder it. Dm me and let me know thanks

I'd say you're looking in the region of the signal between the headunit and the Mr12volt box. Possibly one of two problems, the input LVDS cable is damaged or loose. Or the other option is that you have a fault with the input side of the MMI box.
So firstly check the security of the LVDS connections of the cable. If this is all OK then I'd be contacting Mr12volt with the issue. They'll probably say to check all connections, so you can be ahead of that one by doing it anyway. Then they'll go for the cheaper option first, which is to replace the LVDS input/output cable, then, and only then, if that doesn't cure the fault they will replace the box (that's assuming it's in warranty!).

Nope.

Tried two p2000 units, same result.

The cd changer end is looped.

That is the best way.
I got a camera with the slim connector to avoid this, but in another car, I just snipped the wire and reconnected it. Much better then stuffing the connector through and damaging existing wiring or the boot.

You need to code out the cd changer. I used BimmerCode but there are others.
