Yes they are. With that said, I would never buy a used higher end sports car for the money that I could purchase an extremely capable new one with. Makes absolutely no sense to me, unless I am planning on making it a project and/or have ridiculous amounts of money to waste on it. You're paying for the badge, and nothing else.

Capable new one in a different price bracket? You figure a new AM is what, maybe $190k+, when you could get one for $60k with low miles?

Most people aren't tracking those cars anyways, it's just the luxury of having something you enjoy driving. I know I'm not a track queen, but have some spirited driving on back roads out here every now and then. Similarly to paying for a BMW badge, Merc, Toyoda, Mclaren, etc.

$60k? "Low miles" must be an extremely subjective term, then LOL. But like I said I'm not against it at all, it's just that the circumstances will certainly require scrutiny.


Oddly enough, the only older supercar I would consider, with any mileage, is a Ferrari F40. And God knows what those cost now, should you find one in anywhere near decent condition.

It was a 2008 or 2009 V8 Vantage. Nothing off the wall crazy, a sporty car with some pep, a nice interior, and something that wouldn't break the bank for a unique weekend car.
