The ZCP spoiler is angled higher then stock spoiler and at the high speed should increase the downforce.

When you use BMW Betalink K1 or K2, the part can't be removed. That stuff if very strong.

Betalink K1 is the special BMW glue and it doesn't come with the spoiler.

Aleks.
Alekshop,

When you say "ZCP" WRT the Competition Package for the carbon fiber lip spoiler, are you saying that the carbon fiber lip spoiler comes in the ZCP package?

I don't recall seeing that on any ZCP package for the 2011/2012 models...

Different trunk so it won't work. Do a quick search and see what others have put on E93's.............Phil

Yes, once up glue the part with Beta Link, you can not take it apart, you will break it. That this is permanent.

Beautiful car - just goes to show that the E92 ///3 will remain a timeless design just like all ///3's.

Tastefully done video. Really enjoyed it. Music complements the mood of the video.

FYI goof off and a soft bristle toothbrush works best on taking off the adhesive... you can get a small bottle at homedepot

Did the install this weekend using this guide and it turned out perfect. Hardest part was removing all the adhesive left over from the OEM spoiler. Heating it up with a hairdryer and scraping a big ball of it off with a plastic razor blade followed by 3M adhesive remover to get the remains worked well for me. Also, do a dry fitting and tape up the edges of the performance spoiler and trunk with painter's tape. Makes it easy to line up and catches a lot of the betalink.

+1
Painters tape is a must to take of the excess adhesive of the Beta Link once it spreads out from the rear deck spoiler.

FYI - From our experience installing the BMW Performance Spoilers, it is much easier to use 3M double-sided automotive tape rather than the BMW Betalink.

I don't doubt that. There would be much less cleanup required. If you're going to use betalink make sure you dry fit the spoiler first and lay down painters tape on the trunk. I got a very clean install with minimal clean up using this method.

I bought the betalink but am debating trying the 3m tape first. Can anyone who used the 3m tape chime in? I used it on the front spoilers but it honestly doesn't work all that great. I really don't want my spoiler falling off because I hit speeds of 160 with the car. However, it would be nice to sell it once I want to get rid of the car... Thanks!

On the CF Front splitters I've only used 3M tape, because I know I have to change the splitter due to braking them. But the rear spoiler I used beta link. Don't plan in breaking it on the road, LOL, and also don't plan on selling it.

For the front 3M and rear Beta Link

Thanks. I did same for mine. Betalink is some nasty stuff. Make sure to cut the entire end off one side. I poked holes with a pen and at the end it kept wanting to push out of the funnel!!!

As for my install, I removed the rear spoiler with dental floss and trim removal tools. If you work from each end and meet in the center it came right up. To clean off the excess double sided sticky tape, I found that using your finger to roll it upon itself worked amazing. The hole thing was done in 15m! Then you just clean it with solvent and test fit the wing. I made it equal on both sides then taped it to the car in the middle.

I then taped both spoiler and surrounding painted areas with frog tape and used a nice thin bead of the betalink after sanding the spoiler and cleaning all areas with solvent. It came out great with only a few spots of excess. The spoiler is really on there! I was able to use a plastic trim removal tool to rub the excess off and then followed up with the solvent and quick detail. No prob.

One thing to note, maybe don't leave tape on the bottom painted areas on the udnerside of the spoiler in the middle as some of the tape became trapped under the betalink!! I had to score it lightly with a razor blade then use the trim tool to remove with and then solvent and quick detail. I'll post pics soon. Thanks!

FYI, I also left my front spoilers just taped with 3m in case of cracking and easy removal.

I have to say the spoiler is MASSIVE! I can see it from my rear view mirror! It looks so sick. Glad I did it. It was actually TONS easier than the front spoilers.
