clunking noise after installing solid diff bushings

I installed the Turner solid aluminum diff and subframe bushings and after my second session at the track i started hearing loud clunking noises during low speed and during gear engagements. Not sure if this is normal when running solid bushings. Would it be due to broke diff bolts? I checked to see if my diff was sagging on one side but it seems aligned. I also have aftermarket exhaust hangers and they are softer than the oem hangers so im assuming under intense heat they soften up causing the exhaust pipes to hit the diff when moving. lmk your guys experience thanks.

Video of the clunking noise.

Sounds like your driveshaft is slapping around under there, honestly sounds like a worn guibo to me. I would crawl under there are gets some eyes on the diff bolts real quick to be sure they're not broken.

Just speculating, maybe someone else can chime in with more experience, good luck!

On second thought, probably not the guibo. Don't mind me, haha.

I've had Turner solid SF and diff bushings in my car for 2 years now, never had clunking like this before. I don't think this is related to the bushings themselves causing the clunk. Perhaps now with the solid bushings the clunk is more noticeable but I doubt they are the cause.

That sound is definitely not normal with solid differential bushings. I'd definitely get back under the car to verify things or have your mechanic check it out.

I'm looking at the bushings and there seems to be a slight gap between the subframe and diff bushings which is not sitting flush. I'm going to torque it down to spec and see if this helps.

Looks like one is installed different than the other. Lips are in different position. These are different pictures?

For reference, mine don't have that gap:

Not sure if that's related to your issue or not. But that 1/8" the diff is moved out, is it causing it to contact anywhere? But even so, the bushings are pressed in and shouldn't move, even if they are out of place slightly to begin with. Since the clunk is intermittent, it seems like something is moving/contacting some of the time. Not sure..

Yeah the bushings being installed incorrectly is probably the cause of the noise. If a shop did this, it is 100% on them to fix it. Those bushings come with clear instructions, there’s no excuse.

makes me wonder if that backwards bushings is creating some misalignment in the driveshaft. its could also be the very common center cv, or its not tightened up a bit. seems to be audible when you lift, which is typical.

might as well get a one piece carbon shaft.

Thanks for the input I'll have the shop check the center cv

I believe all solid subframe bushings go in from the bottom.
