tire pressure for 275/35 squared MPS4S
Hello all, went to go fill my tires up with air before a road trip tomorrow when I realized I had no idea what to fill them too. I've heard 36psi? Hoping you guys could provide me suggestions.
Not tracking anytime soon, mainly highway driving. 275/35r18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s' squared. |

I mess around between 35-37... but pretty much same through year overall
My factors are weather conditions When cold ... I feel a tad higher psi feels better usually 37 rears and 35.5 -36 fronts. When warmer or hot 35-36. Fronts, rears 36-36.5 I live in WA and it's more on the cold side usually 40-50ish until summer. And summer here don't rest get past 70ish average with a few hot days past 80 for few weeks usually .... I don't think .5 psi matters so much ... I did try 38 rears on 35/275 but idk felt to bouncy or rough? 37 below felt more grippy and balances? Maybe it's all mental lol. Just my 2cents |

For handling:
Take it from Craig Watkins (former Porsche Flying Lizard Motorsports): The factory door jams is the best case for fuel economy and lowering it about 10% from that is a good medium if you are just the one person in the car all the time for handling purposes. He mentions this in Ross Bentley's speed secrets podcast. https://speedsecrets.com/166-craig-w...cars-handling/ Food for thought
