Gotta share this deal from Custom Wheel Outlet on BFG R1 265/35/18 for $196.99 per tire. Shipping is free and no tax for me in Texas (which is rare these days) so $787.96 for four.

I'd prefer to run the 275s, but I can't pass up this price, and I hear they run wide anyway.

I keep posting non-NT-01 tire feedback on this site as I think most folks would be interested, but I guess I could start another thread.

That said, most feedback puts the R1 with more grip/faster than the NT-01. I can only get 4 track days (7-8 hours) from the NT-01s so I hope to get close to that from the R1s.

It's been years but I found the BFG R1 to be much faster than the NT-01. The 265 is wider than the 275 NT-01 also...someplace I have pictures comparing them, and the 265 R1 looks like a 285 compared to the 275 NT01.

I thought R1's were comparable to R7's.

Yeah they probably are, and the R1S is probably better than R7. In the old days I found the R1s to be very long wearing vs Hoosiers also, granted I was comparing it to an A6.

I've ran Hankook C51s and Toyo RRs. I'm starting to under stand what a tire feels like when it's heat cycled out.

Something to consider when departing from the NT01s. Although an E9X M3 may cord a tire before it heat cycles out.

I have a set of NT01 275/35/18 with 0 heat cycles and ~1k street miles. Production date is 2014. It was purchased this year and stored inside when the tires were new and after take off. Looking for $700 picked up in SoCal. PM if you're interested.

Anyone find any deals?

The best I've seen in the last couple months is $80 off 4 tires thru Discount Tire.

Was watching Brooks from Drag Times on youtube and he mentioned tirescanner.com which is offering 20% off all tires. Haven't used the site at all as it seems new but thought I'd mention it here. Some installers are mobile from what it looks like but none in my area. Here are some screenshots of the deal.

This is not necessarily a sale, but was updating my tire spreadsheet today (it compares tire specs of all known fitments for the e9x and I loosely track pricing) and when looking at NT01 I noticed that Amazon, of all places, had the tires for $250/ea vs $270/ea at Discount or other sources.
Just a heads up if anyone is looking to buy some in the near future

Sounds like it's time for a set of 18" track wheels

Was there ever a full write up on the NT01 305 on the rear? Would they fit a 10.5" wheel?

I'm convinced to go the Toyo RR route now in 295/30/18. I can get a set of 4 for $890 shipped. This is right around the NT01 275/35/18 sale price!

Beats the AR-1 price of ~$1,300..

Did your Nankang AR-1 tires wear out? What are your impressions compared to the NT-01?

Discount tire has them for $180 off ($100 flash sale + $80 in rebates) making it $900 for a set plus tax.

Flash sale ends tomorrow on May 29.

This code still works. I bought some PS4S for my street wheels and got the 20% off. I don't think you will find a better deal anywhere else. I got my tires within a week and old have recent build dates.
