ESS Tuning E-flash error

I'm trying to re-flash my tune:
Has anyone run into the following error on the wake-up sequence?

The system was not able to collect enough information to communicate with the vehicle. Please contact the program vendor for assistance.

Simple checks first.

Is the ignition on? If so, do you have an Awron or any other CAN device installed?

Yeah the ignition was on. It did fail during a write of the file and then after that it won't even get past the wake-up now.

There's a slough of errors: transmission, DBC, cruise control.

If the write failed, there will be a bunch of errors. Is the DME still being recognized as MSS60 on the flash screen or blank?

Choose MSS60 and flash your original file. Let me know if you continue to have errors.

Agreed with Tom - had this issue. Manually chose MSS60, ensure all the connections are properly in and Ignition On.

If you have multiple files, try going with the Base update that ESS provides first and then the ESS Tune flash (I received 2 files from them which were 220 and the SC tune).

When you start the flash hold everything in place and try not to breath.

Much appreciated Tom! I took about 7 tries, I kept getting USB interruptions. It's strange because after 5 years of switching tunes out this is the first point where I had issues.
