Is anybody still doing this mod? I just took the panel off and took a look at the spring. I found it but I really could not get in there to remove the e-clips. How do you remove those e-clips anyway? Do you squeeze or pull or what?

I did mine back in 2008 and have never looked back. It is a VERY different feeling with it removed, but once I got used to it I love it.

Anyway, I just happen to have some hand me down tools that include picks for removing small clips. Basically you just pry the c-clip off, so I am sure you could use a small screwdriver or the like. The hard part is finding it once it pops free. Also, one thing I didn't like was a "wobbly" side to side motion of the clutch pedal after removing the whole spring assembly. So, I put the plastic piston looking bit back together without the spring so that it is more stable.

I did mine... You have to pull them out with a pick... Think of an E then pull it from the back and it should slip right out... Just be careful not to lose any of them. Good luck

I'm curious if anyone who did this mod a while ago notices any negative affects? Someone in PM told me they had issues with their cruise control?!
