Well I washed and waxed her so no big deal I am pissed that the dealership is trying to get out of paying for the tire with the screw in it. The car was unloaded and pulled in the garage and then backed out so I drove it 8 feet maybe and the screw was definitely not in my garage or driveway the only reason I saw it was because I washed her.

So is this a preowned that you purchased from another dealer and had it shipped directly to your place?
I don't know if you said it was new or not but the grill and tail lights say it is an 08 or 09

this must be a used one, so i guess the dealer felt he could deliver it in any condition he wanted...which doesn't make it right. that dealer should be ashamed of himself, delivering a car with a flat and in that condition. even a small credit to have it washed and waxed would have been appropriate. anyway, now you owe us some clean car pix, inside and out!! congrats on the purchase.

Perhaps the car was near the back of the transporter. You guys can't possibly expect a car coming from Illinois (Just a quick google for patrick cars, could be wrong) during/after a snow storm would be "flawless". Traffic kicks up dirt and salt and shit like that. It happens. It's a car. I would just be happy to get the car

I commend you for taking this in such good spirits, but if that was me, I would have told them to take that sh!t back, gotten my money back, and immediately start an assault with BMW customer service....that dealer would never hear the end of it!
It's unacceptable for a $10k corolla, much less a german luxury sports coupe costing over $60k (new or used!). wow, simply wow!

Nice car, despite the state that it was delivered in.
Like you, I can accept that it's dirty, but the screw in the tire: NO WAY! Straight off, you're driving on a 'repaired' tire, that's assuming that it's in a position where it can be repaired. Hope you get something sorted out. Enjoy the new ride Graeme |

I agree that it could be seen as no big deal. Of course, we won't know until the OP has had the car detailed and learned of any paint chips or other possible damage. |

M cars don't come with run flats. You'd think a BMW dealer would know that...

How were you able to - or were you able to - do a pre-delivery exterior inspection for any scratches/dents/dings? Even if used this might have been a good idea. Good luck!

OP has the right attitude. If you don't want to deal with a dirty car and other nit pick issues, than buy a new car from a local dealer. I'm sure OP saved a bit buying it out of state. If he wanted a clean car at delivery then he should have paid for an enclosed transport.
Anyway, car looks great |
