The E92 M3 has push button start and keyless entry regardless of the Comfort Access option.

Don't settle on the car just because it is a "great" deal. In the long run you'll regret and it will be a terrible deal. The BEST deal is the exact car you want at a price you are comfortable with.

IF you think it is a big deal, then don't settle and wait for the m3 with all the options you want.

Just be forewarned, comfort access sucks. Yes it starts your car with a keyless button but is very inconsistent when locking and unlocking your doors. Pushing the remote is far more reliable. I don't know why a cheaper Toyota/Lexus can get it right on my wife's car but BMW hasn't figured this technology out yet.

The Keyless would be nice if it actually worked as awesome as the one on the mercedes or the lexus. I find myself more irritated that the system doesn't work right more than enjoying the luxuries of it.

For me, money is the last priority on getting an Ultimate Driving Machine such as an M3.

So my advice is to just be sure the M3 you get has all the options you want. Keyless entry is nice, but you won't miss it if you never have it. Your decision is just a matter of your mindset about it.

Actually, the comfort access fob does not charge via the dash slot. The reason for this is more than likely that they did not want to undermine the "hands-off" selling point of the system by asking you to circumvent it on occasion to keep the fob charged.

Instead, the CA fob has a non-rechargeable batter that must be replaced. It lasts a very long time however (years, typically).

All my vehicles have keyless entry. I personally love it and will only get keyless in my future vehicles.

all I have to say is shame on BMW (and other companies that do this) for making something you get standard on a $13k Nissan Cube part of an option package

my fiancee's RAV4 has keyless start/unlock and it's definitely nice and I would've ordered CA if you could get it standalone like you can on just about every other BMW... however it's not a deal breaker and I definitely don't find myself missing it

My car came with CA. I was excited first to have this option. Within a couple of days of ownership, I figured that having the key in the same pocket as my phone (iPhone) made CA not work when trying to start the car. So there is that. Otherwise, I got so used to CA in a month (before storing the car for the winter, and switching back to my older E46 330), that I missed it the very first day I did not have the CA. I was grumbling for 2 days straight but have again gotten used to not having it. Bottom line, if you have it, you love it, if you don't, you get used to not having it as well.

I would call this one, "a [very] nice feature to have", but not a deal breaker on a good deal. Like someone said, do ask dealership to throw in something else for not having the option.
