Yah. We are pretty tight and purchased our last cars together too. We joked about the M3's and when the October/November deals came around we got the list of what was left in Canada and luckily we were all happy with different cars on the list. Should have taken a pic on delivery, but we were too damn excited and forgot. In the summer we'll have to clean them up and do a family portrait

Saw a JzB E93 coming out of Fairways Hills by Glen Abbey onto SB Dorval in Oakville just before 8am this morning. He had on the same OEM 18" winters that I have, they looked good on the black. I think it must have been the same one I saw on Dorval Nov 16th - must not be a member here.

Saw the same car this morning after leaving Starbucks and heading north on Dorval around the same time - must have just missed seeing you as well.
I have the same OEM 18" on my car as well.

I must say, thats pretty cool...how all of you are rocking Ms!
Congrats!

on a side note, your gonna be very jealous in about a years time when you compare your paint with your brother in laws jerez black. (swirls show much easier on jet black, and whats worse is they are nearly impossible to remove because of the different paint methods for the 2 colors).

Good luck!

Looks like we should have our next meet at a Starbucks! It is a toss up if I spend more at Starbucks or Sunoco each week, but I certainly fuel up at both a lot!

Funny - I must have just missed you as I was also going SB on Dorval. I turned off by Glen Abbey as I was meeting up with my Saturday am running group for our weekly run. Glad the sun was out this morning or it would have been really cold!

Yeah, anyone with a black car should setup an appt Kevin (picus on E90Post) of GTA in Detail to get their car cleaned/detailed... they can be a nightmare to keep clean/swirl free but he is the best so he'll be make sure your paint is sorted out.

He'll be making another visit to my place in the spring to sort out my wife's black car (Mercedes B200 Turbo) as well as do an initial detail on my M3.

With the price of gas where it is right now - I definitely spend more at Starbucks on a weekly basis!!

Running group - yikes - good for you - only running I do on Saturday mornings is in my car to Starbucks!

That was the first e9x M3 I have seen on the road in weeks!

Seriously - jealous/swirl marks in a years time - is that called for? Like any colour its how you look after it (and yes I know some are harder to look after than others)

Bobbyz - congrats to you, your brother and brother in law Wish I had that kind of M spirit in my family!!

Ah, thats ok.
Fact of the matter is that I never take my car to a carwash and will get it detailed each spring and I'm not worried. I had a black 1994 Porsche 968 that I drove every winter and was able to keep looking like a mirror. In my experience with cars, if an colour shows swirls close to as much as black, its dark blue anyway. Slammed and my brother will never see a swirl mark...same goes for silverstoneII. Cant beat a clean, detalied black car though.

I dont mean it in any rude way, but its known that the 3 basic (non-metallic colors, including aw) are more prone to swirls and once you have them are impossible to remove. The paint method is different.. His brother in laws Jerez Black is going to swirl too, the difference is that when he compounds n waxes the Jerez black, it will come out nearly perfect, nearly brand new without almost any swirls. But the Jet black, will come out looking shiny, but under light will show all the swirls no matter what compound or wax you use...you'll see! I used to be a detailer for high end cars, trust me on this!!!

My buddy has a 325i (jet black) and after 2 months of taking really good care of it, including waxing it at least once a month. never going through car washes and you should see how swirled up his car was after 2 months! and I tried all my best products and nothing took out the major swirls!

Only time will tell

M Spirit in the fam....

Got the call from Parkview, my car has arrived... finally! I pick it up on Thursday... going to try and swing by on the way home to take a look at it although I'm sure it is dirty. Can't wait.

Congrats!! Couple of sleepless nights ahead I imagine!!

Saw a JzB E90 M3 on the QEW on the way home tonight - purchased at Parkview, tinted windows. First E90 M3 I have seen on the road, other than mine of course (wasn't in my car though as its in for service). Looked to still have the 19" summers on though.

Slammed - sorry I misinterpreted your comments, new to this forum and I have to say I am little surprised at some of the negativity I have read towards members cars.

Indeed. I actually went by Parkview on the way home to take a quick look, as expected it was pretty dirty... they were in the process of updating the software so guess it will get detailed tomorrow. Did get a chance to sit in it for a minute and snap a few pics with my phone, that will have to suffice until Thursday.

Must say that Melbourne red looks waaay better in person, most pics make it look quite orange but it's much darker. Arrgh, 2 more nights!

Oh yeah, also spotted a black (not sure if it was Jet Black or Jerez) E90 M3 turning into Parkview as I was leaving... brave man as he was still rocking the 19" summers as well.

I agree - Pics dont do Mel. Red any justice. When I bought mine Budds had one (sedan also) in the showroom and it looked fantastic.

Countdown to putting the summers back on!

Hah, I'm just hoping that this snow in the forecast for tonight/tomorrow has been cleared by Thursday afternoon so I can get a clear run over to the tire shop to install my winters.

30 hours for a detail is just nuts, the guy should have just bought a white car and saved himself a wack of cash.

I just saw a Red E93 M3 @ Hwy 7 & Centre St about 5 minutes ago (*1:30pm on Thursday)

Looked stock to me, I saw it in the corner of my eye for a moment!

Spotted a Silverstone II E93 M3 at the top of my street (parked on Queen East near Logan) about 10mins ago, had the BMW dealer winter tire pkg as well. Maybe it was revmmm?

Also, pickup my car at 3pm!
