Question About 2011 M3 Interior

Okay, so I don't know if it started in 2010 or 2011, but I was looking on Autotrader for 2011 M3s for fun, and I noticed on some of them that they have an extra traction control switch below the stereo where the '09 and previous has the heated seat buttons.

Can anyone tell me what this is?

I unfortunately can't find a good enough picture to post here...

Auto start-stop button

I think you are seeing the Auto Start/Stop button. Is the one you are seeing an "A" with a circular arrow going around it? If so, that's it. Became standard starting with Sept '10 production. Or as it is called around here, 2011.5! I have it on my Sept. '10 build 2011 car...

Damn, I feel like such a moron now... I kept thinking, "I know that damn button... I know it from somewhere!" Now I know, haha.

Thanks for the help, guys. I love my '09, but I feel like I want to sell my car and go buy a used 2011, or still on the lot 2011, when the 2012s come out for sale. I'd be spending way more money than I can afford, though

Keep what you have. If you got the 2011, after 1 week, if you closed your eyes, you couldn't tell the difference between the 09 and the 11. Unless there is something wrong with your 09?

Actually one thing I really like on the 11s vs the 09s is that you can use your Apple cable to use your iPhone for music

You don't need to use the y cable anymore

Are you serious? My 08 is going up sale right this second. I can't stand the Y-cable iphone business. It's so worth the $15k or so for the newer car.

Yeah, I know. It's just, as much as I like JzB, it's not my preferred color. I really would love to have Le Mans Blue. There's nothing wrong with my '09, just am one of those people who thinks newer is better. Also, I've got about 43,000 miles on my car, so I'd like to get into something with fewer miles at some point.

I think the Idrive interface changed on the 2010+ models, its much nicer !

The only reason for '11 is Competition Package. And it is worth it.

Well I was thinking of waiting until spring of 2012 to see if i can save up some extra money, and then I can find an unsold '11, or a CPO '11. At that point I'll try and sell my car outright, unless I can actually get a decent deal trade wise.

I'm just worried about mileage... I drive a lot, haha. My car had 33,xxx miles on it when I got her the first week in April, and now I've got 42,600 miles. Oops.
