My 08E90 M3 is lowered slightly on H&R regular springs. Yes, it’s not a deep snow car or a car for unplowed roads, but it has gotten me everywhere I need to go. The front plastic/felt undertray and side wings cause trouble on stock cars. When yours are sufficiently broken, buy the flat aluminum plate replacement that deansbimmer sells. Turner sells a more complicated and expensive version.

I showed my 5yo daughter pictures of the Honda Accord, Infiniti Q50, and an e90 M3 and lo and behold, she said she liked the //M the best.
I couldn't have been more proud. I guess its time to start looking for a clean, well-maintained e90. |

That's adorable! I have a 5 year old daughter as well and she loves riding in the m3. I used to worry whether the noise would bother her but she loves it. Part of me wants to get another e9x m3 and put it in a bubble until she gets older so she can experience driving these as well!

I DD my e90 m3 and my commute is also very short, about 10 mins.
This is my second E90 M3 that I have DD'd, total of 5+ years between the two, and I have zero regrets aside from the occasional asking myself how much I spend on gas lol

I'm pretty much set on doing this. I'm not in any rush, so I can take the time to find something perfect. I'd love a space grey e90 like yours, or Interlagos Blue. |

2.75 mile commute one way. I every-other-day daily it rain or shine. Rod bearings are replaced with BE, so not too worried about it not getting fully up to temp as I don't mash on it during the work week

My commute is 4 miles and my car is warmed up within 1 mile away from my house. But it never drops below 50 degrees here

Even if I had a short commute that I had to drive (as opposed to walking or biking or public transportation), I would still buy a fun car and not worry that the short commute does not let the engine get hot enough to burn off condensation or contaminants in the oil. I would try to drive the car at least once a week on a longer drive and maybe change the oil more frequently.
I see no point in driving a beater or economy car for most of my driving so the car I like most can sit in a garage. I don't worry that much about trying to preserve the car I like. Instead, I want to use it. That is why I bought it. |

I can't believe this is even a question.
OP, it is a car. Change the bearings, enjoy: 1) the short commute, 2) the long weekend drives, 3) life |

So if you guys see anything that meets the following requirements, let me know. 1) DCT 2) Less than 80k miles or so. I'm flexible on this, but would rather not have 100k+ miles. 3) White/Blue/Space Grey exterior 4) Black or Fox Red interior 5) Less than $30k 6) Good maintenance history Nice to have but not required. 1) Recent TA replacement 2) CIC iDrive 3) Rod bearings I check here, autotrader, cars.com, ebay, and some local metro craiglists daily. |

I dd my M3. Life is too short to not drive a car when it is still relevant.
Salt and snow don't worry me, I just try to get the car washed quite often.

Any thoughts on how Silverstone II looks in person? From the pictures, I like the contrast between the paint and the black trim, and I like how it shifts to a light blue in certain light.
Seems like a lot of the cars I see are Jerez Black. How easy is it to see the blue tint in that color? |

As the car ages and accumulates mileage from use, black leather interiors are easiest to keep looking good. Light colors are hardest. Red is not great. They can look good if lightly used.
