Taillight Mods?

Does anyone have any recommendations on shops or anything that do taillight modifications? I know Republic Werkz did some in the past, but I dont think they're in business anymore (have not received any responses). I'm looking to have the taillight housing opened up and blacked out from the inside. Thanks in advance!

Something to consider, blacked out tailights make it harder for people behind you to see when you are braking. I've been behind cars with blacked out lights on bright sunny days in AZ and it was more difficult to know when they were braking. Doesnt seem like a good idea to me to make a safety item less effective and I could definitely see someone using that fact against you in case of an accident.

On that note, I like the look and considered it until I experienced the above.

The lenses are not going to be blacked out. What I want, the lenses will be opened up and the actual housing blacked out. The light output won’t be affected.

I've been wanting to do this mod as it still looks OEM and not rice. Ask bavgruppe designs maybe they can do it or try republic werkz through their Instagram

Already reached out to Republic Werkz via IG and email. No response.
I also asked Bavgruppe and they suggested LightWorkz but I was quoted like $650. Republic Werkz used to do this for $450.

Oh wow! Those are kind of cool actually. Never seen those before. Just not sure how to go about purchasing those since I cant read anything!

ya unfortunately these are not available on aliexpress yet, but i think soon it will be offered

Taobao is kind of like a Chinese eBay, but I think they only ship to China. You have to have a service proxy an order for you.

Good chance these will pop up on Ali Express, someone could even try messaging the seller and asking them to list it, a surprising amount of Chinese vendors speak functional english.

These are pretty interesting, the clear lens is a good selling point too.
