Unhappy TPMS problem

Hi all
first time to post, the TPMS malfunction has been bugging me for a while.
Drove about 15 miles, malfunction happened. Mostly just go to work and off from work.

Sometimes park over night reset it and sometimes not. Sometimes it just becomes normal itself but will not too long.

This is 2011 m3 sedan with comp package in fremont ca.

Is there a recommended shop to fix this near fremont or must go to dealer ?

thank you

When I had a malfunction, it was because one of the TPMS died. Ordered a new one (~$50) and had it installed by a wheel/tire shop and everything was okay. The dealer or (I'd imagine the same tire shop) would be able to use a TPMS sensor device to figure out which one isn't giving a signal.

If it's not that, then it may be the receiver in the wheel well.

Assuming all pressures are over 32 psi and you reset the tpms properly, any good tire shop worth its salt will have a tpms reader. The reader is contactless. They should just hold it next to each wheel and get a reading, or not.

To replace, some shops can just break the bead and replace the sensor without having to dismount/mount.

If the shop doesn't carry your tpms, you can order it and pick it up from Apex race parts.
