I am not but Saturday is gonna be a warm one.

Are you getting any instruction? If so, ask for Chris More. He's a personal friend and a great instructor. He's instructed in my car a few times.

As these are still more conservative than monoball spherical bearings I think I'll be okay.

I went ahead and ordered these from Harold @ HP Autosport LINK, looking forward to trying these out. I'll report back with my review.

Thank you for the order. They are a good compromise between the stock bushings and monoball bearing.

Is it usually an hour and a half wait with speed ventures, or was that because of bimmerfest? I had a great time but wasn't impressed with the amount of seat time.

I just signed up for Sonoma with NASA for 18 and 19th June. Need to practice for the Bimmer Challenge when it's not wet to get my best times there.

I'll probably sign up for the 24th as well - and if you're going to be there M3 Number 86 this weekend, I might sign up for that as well, hahaha. Wife and kids are going back to the east coast for 3 weeks so I can do however many track days I want this month!!

never had to wait that long and was a weird change in run group order. I'll chalk it up to bimmerfest. Also towards the end you can run in all the groups since people tend to leave early.

Ok cool. I'll probably give them another shot. I was kinda glad bimmerfest was going on because it gave me something to do between sessions.

From what I can tell, the oil cooler didn't provide an appreciable benefit.

I'll post another comparison of my car and dogbone's from this past Sunday at ACS once he sends me his data.

A small amount comes out. I only have one "puck" to push in at each corner because I'm a cheap bastard, but yes, I do leave it open while I'm pushing it back in (closing it off slowly when I get close to done).

The fluid always looks super nasty coming out of the calipers after a track weekend...

interesting. what do you think this is? burnt fluid? crap that gets in past the seals? dirt/dust in the system settling?

I had flushed my SRF brake fluid prior to Bimmerfest and it came out coke bottle brown after 25 or so track days.

Are there any alternative data loggers/laptimers besides the Aim Solo DL? Perhaps something more cost effective?

Its always 1.5 to 2 hour wait between sessions. Most organizations are like that, average around 1.5 hours between, and getting between 4-5 sessions. But I know you mainly have experience with SD and they are the exception where you are running what seems like non stop. The tradeoff is your paying a higher price and your only choice is BRP or Willow Springs (yes I know he has an ACS event lined up but this will be the first time I believe so not really counting it). Nothing wrong with that, I tend to enjoy SD events the most, but I can only take so much BRP before I need to try something else. After all the goal of tracking is to become a better driver overall and if you are only mastering one track then it doesn't accomplish the goal. Not meaning you specifically, just speaking in general. Plus we are lucky to be in California and surrounded by a vast option of amazing tracks, Chuckwalla, Thunderhill, Sonoma, Spring Mountain, all of which are within driving distance. So might as well try them all!
