!!!SCAM ALERT!!!

I sent $600 to this a**hole on thursday morning for the headers. He then proceeds to ask me for an additional $100 stating that FedEX REQUIRED him to buy insurance. WHAT. Obviously not true. He insisted so I said take them somewhere else. He refused saying every else was too far. Red flags arising. Then I asked him to send me the location of the local fedex who told him this. He did, in midtown manhattan NY. I called and of course they said this is ridiculous and that they never require insurance!! He still insisted that an additional $100 was required and I told him forget about it and to venmo me my money back. Well what do you know it's Monday and after multiple texts he has stopped responding and this was all via a google phone number to begin with so I can't call him

Did you confirm the seller was the person who texted you? What happens sometimes when you post your phone number out in the open is that scammers text you acting like they are the sellers.

I don't know the seller, or if they are legit or not. However, their join date to forums is August 2018 (uncommon for a scammer to be around for 4 years on this forum with the same account). Also when buying/selling, PayPal goods and services is the only option unfortunately. Good luck!

This 100%. I had the same thing when i posted my phone number on a FS ad. Its a scammer that texts you and asks you to send them money through paypal friends and family. Hopefully you didnt send it via Paypal F&F and can get your money back.
