Side question re these tires.
Has anyone flipped them despite the inside/outside tire designation? The outside gets hammered flat and the inside looks brand new after 4-5 Autoxs. My guess is the sidewalk is not up to the task but thought I’d ask.

I was planning on flipping mine after 50 runs, but they didn't last that long...

I also wondered if the compound is the same across the tire where some tires have stickier compounds for the outside tread. |

Not directly related to the A052, but I've been flipping numerous r-compound tires for years without any problems. I personally wouldn't worry about it and would say do it, others might disagree. If you're not comfortable with it then don't, but many people do it without issue.

Check with the manufacturer. Some of these race tires have specific guidelines for proper rotation and flipping.

The 295 A052s on 11's rub: Inside rear liner/fuel filler Outside rear fender lip/bumper tab Front and Rear of front wheel liner Front Fender Lip None of it is *bad* but I wouldn't expect to fit anything bigger unless ride heights are pretty high and spring rates are significantly higher than the 550/1100 I'm already running.

I would characterize three of those four things as bad to have contact with. It sounds like you're either going to slash the tire open or you're going to cause a fuel leak. Not exactly the situations I want at high speed...or ever.

Agreed, the filler neck is more of a bump travel issue than a tire issue though (and I already fixed it). The rest of the rubs are pretty minimal, no risk of cutting up the tire. But I don't think fitting any more tire in those fenderwells is going to happen without permanent modifications.

Just following up on my own question. I flipped the A052’s and they work just as well with the “inside” designation outside. This gives me at least 30% more life (because I flipped so late in the process).

Very close to shock body and spring perch move over the tire. -3.5 camber At my current height no rubbing, but than again my fender liner are all rubbed out. Lol FYI nankang ar1 295 measure 305 cross section

How close is too close to the shock body? I've got 295/30/18 AR1's on 18x10 et25 and there is about 1/8" clearance.

Anyone have any thoughts on running the 295/35/18 A052??
I have an opportunity to scoop up a used staggered set 265/295-35 off a local Porsche GT3 Clubsport for chepppp and wondering if the 295’s would probably be too tall to fit the front. They have two sets available so I could try to do 295/35 square but I have my doubts on fitment. I’ll probably buy the one staggered set and see how they are and report back
