I've owned quite a few "fun" cars in my 41 years of life, I lost count after 50, and most of the time when I sold them I've moved on easily to the next without thinking twice.

The problem is the E9x M3, no matter how hard I convince myself to make room for something faster, more modern, more "fun", these cars are simply irreplaceable. Browsing through my old photos I've realized I'm on the 7th example and I'll forever need one in the stable at any given time.

For those repeat E9x M3 owners, let's hear your story and give a salute to BMW's masterpiece.

As you can see I'm a big fan of the 359M wheels.
The one that started it all, my 2011 Space Gray/Black Leather E92 M3 DCT ZCP.

My 2009 Alpine White/Black Leather E92 M3 DCT picked her up with less than 30k miles.

My 2013 Alpine White/Speed Cloth E92 6MT ZCP Semi Stripper, No options only Navigation, Manual Seats.

My 2013 Mineral White/Two-Tone Fox/Black E92 DCT ZCP Fully Loaded

My 2008 Jerez Black/Extended Black Leather E90 6MT Fully Loaded

My 2010 Alpine White/Fox E92 6MT Sunroof that I just picked up and went straight to MRF for rod bearing service.

Once upon a time I also owned an E85/Meth F80 with 600whp, looked great, was super fast but easily forgettable.

Not sure if you've had the chance to drive/own a 911, but it might just be good enough to leave the m3 in the rearview.
Not a 991.1S. Tried that and was good but kinda boring. I think a 997 GT3 would do it for me but that's a chunk of money to pay.

Ive also tried lots of cars but just recently came back to the E90. In my opinion, next to impossible to get this package at this price point.

Nice list OP!

Can't really match OP's 7 - wow!
Glad to read I'm not the only one who came back to this platform.

There is something special about these cars - I just wish it didn't weigh this much and had some better cooling in some areas and the other common gremlins. That would have made it perfect and nothing's perfect

Very nice! As a repeat offender and current owner of more M's than you can count on one hand (most of them being E9x M3's) I 100% approve of your addiction

Nice. You might have the private party record for owning the most E9X M3's. I have one and still love it after 7 years.

I'm on number two. First was interlagos over bamboo, second is Jerez over palladium. It now is liquid wrapped in a San Marino blue approximation.

First one died to an unlicensed driver who couldn't be bothered to look before turning onto a highway. Test drove a few cars (GT350, M2, M4, 718) before picking up another E92. I keep trying to get into the F8x cars, but every drive I decide they're fast but uninteresting. The current one is now in toy status; garaged for the cold and wet season, sees about 2.5-3k miles a year in nice weather. I expect the E92 will remain a staple in the garage, with other toys coming in alongside. I will just keep making tweaks to it over the years to keep it fresh and fun.

With the the total taxes spent on 7 e9x m3s he could have bought another one.

7 would make the most sense if you got them cheap and sold them for more or if you are a used car dealer and try them out for a while as they come thorough.

That's basically where I'm at. I'm in the business of wholesaling cars so I've had a handful of E9x M3's to date. Though I don't feel as strongly about them as some of you guys do. The E46 M3 will have my heart forever.

Yeah unfortunately I lost money every time…

5 were from forum members and I bought 2 of them from CarMax.

I just need to stop this madness and keep my current one which is the plan.😬

Unless a slicktop single hump MR 6MT ZCP E90 pops up. lol

LOL wow that's an impressive track record with an E9x platform. I totally understand, this was always my dream car and I finally got it just over a year ago, I didn't realize it was going to be a car I keep forever! So addictive

I understand your painful$ addiction. Not to the tune of 7 E9x’s but 5 M’s, two of which were E90+92.
Listening to the engine/exhaust every time I fire her up brings a smile to my face, and a slight groan from a few neighbors too I’m sure.
