Powerflex Tuneable Hybrid Urethane Engine Mounts
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these - https://powerflexusa.com/powerflextu...6e46e9xm3.aspx
I'm not sure if they are new or not but I don't recall seeing these on their site before. Seems to go a step further than the vibra and tms options. |

If you trust Powerflex on the motor mounts, why don’t you trust Powerflex not to sell something useless on the subframe mounts? Powerflex makes subframe bushing inserts that are inserts just like these. Yes, the top and bottom are large and round, both to hold the vertical inserts and to fill additional bushing void and to give the bushing less room to move.

Nothing wrong with powerflex, as thier purple poly diff bushings are widely used on here. |

it appears no one has experience with these powerflex mounts yet so there's no conclusion. the most credible source would be from someone who had a vibra and then switched to these powerflex mounts, because even if i TOFTT i would have nothing to compare it to other than the OEM mounts |

Most have nothing to compare after market mounts to other than worn stock mounts. New Corteco stock mounts are about $100 per pair.

I just replaced my engine mounts with dealer oem and there is still a fair amount of vibration which comes into the car, I’m switching to either Bimmerworld or I’ll try out these Powerflex units within the coming month.

Stock mounts offer the best isolation. If you have vibration with new stock mounts, the mounts are not the problem.

my other concern is, if you stiffen up the mount considerably by inserting the pins, but your trans mount has stock stiffness, wouldn't this technically be a bad combination?

Not unless you go to extremes. You can’t stiffen the trans mounts to the same degree as you can stiffen the engine mounts without causing vibration.
