Subaru STI and Mitsubishi Evo are the most expensive cars to insure. I don't know about Ferrari insure, but pretty high up there.

yeahh really expensive. i was looking into an evo ix about last year. got a quote about like $2000+ a year or $280 a month. i dont remember. but that was the reason why i didnt get one

reason why: no side airbags, whole body made out of aluminum, the lightest metal, to save weight. thus if you get into an accident, your cars totaled basically. but eff the car, your life is at constant risk 286hp stock, 300+ tuned times(aluminum body, no side airbags) = broken bones

When I was shopping around for my last car, I looked at the following...

STi, Evo, G35 coupe, 350z, S60R, and S2000.

The STi, Evo, and G35 coupe were almost the same, off by about a $100ish a year. The 350z, S60R, and S2000 were the most. I was surprised about the S60R, being a Volvo and all.

I ended up going with the Evo.

Wow, my insurance is 3000/yr on a Lexus ES330.
But I'm 16, licensed for 1mo 1wk as of today, male. Apparently it went from 1000/yr for 2 people on 3 cars each to 4000 for 1 extra person on 1 car

It's ridiculous that my 97 Integra Type R costs as much to insure as my 2008 BMW 335i....

and my S2000, was some how cheaper...by a lot

STis are incredibly expensive to insure. They cost more to insure than an M5.

It's all about statistics, people with WRX seems to wreck more or get it stolen and the insurance under writer will base the price on that...a car's value has very little to do with insurance rate, it's the class and statistics they fall into that matters.

When I had my Evo IX they quoted me 7k for 6 months!! My record is a little fked up, and I was 18 back than. So I had to change my address and insure the car under my moms name so I can drive it.

My insurance went up $36 every 6 months when I switched from my 335 to M3. I thought it would be more. I carry maximum coverage. My mom is 55 y.o. and she has a S2000 as a third car. It is expensive to insure, even for her.
