2017 KOYORAD Bimmer Challenge Series

Hello everyone,

Last year, MAXXIS bimmer challenge was a complete success! We are finalizing all the details for the 2017 KOYORAD Bimmer Challenge Series and it's shaping up to be the best season yet! For those not familiar with Bimmer Challenge, this is a BMW specific time trial series hosted by www.speedventures.com in CA and AZ. You not only get to win prizes and discount for parts, but you also get to be in a very friendly competitive environment. All BMWs are welcome!

This year we're working really hard on getting more solid sponsors than 2016 for the series as well as trophies and prizes. The point of this thread is to build awareness and engagement of the series. Feel free to ask questions or suggest changes.

You can find your KOYORAD Bimmer Challenge classing by going to the 2017 Bimmer Challenge Rules and selecting your chassis' base points. For example, my E46 M3 = 2 base points. I would start at +2 points then add up any points from modifications my car has which are listed on Section 3 of link. Once you total up your points you can find your class listing below from B5 to B1.

B-2: = 10.1-14.0 points
B-3: = 6.1-10.0 points
B-4: = 2.1-6.0 points
B-5: = less than 2.0 points

Round 1 was a total success with over 30 people!
This year, only the best 8 out of 11 events will count, so even if you missed round 1, you still have chance to win the series and get great prizes!

Gonna give it a try this year in B3. Hope to see you all at Chuckwalla next month. I assume that the rule about the 3 lower points/DNF/DQ events not counting is just a way of evening the playing field for those that can't make every event (ie, you can really miss up to 3 events and still score well).

Great! Yeah. That's the purpose. It's a lot of money to attend every event

Yea I saw what Brian(LSB E46) was doing last year but wanted to get more seat time before doing this... I'm only in Cali until early Fall so ill be at the first 7 for sure

We didn't do laguna seca last year. This year will actually be the first time. I beleive most of socal people won't be fast since we don't go there often.

You can always lookup at Redpriest's times at Laguna on YouTube. He came in second in B3 last year.

At least we SoCal folks can run Laguna and Sonoma virtually. Same goes for NorCal folks and Auto Club Speedway.

I was able to hit the ground running the first time I ran ACS because I ran it in iRacing the week before.
