I always ask about paint care. Guy details, so car has been compounded with M105 and M205 once in 5 years. He keeps coats of Power Lock on it and Sovereign Wax. So, yeah, paint is perfect, which on black, is obv perfect to me. I think even at the premium price, its a buy. Ill know monday!!!! 650 ish at the wheels and if I add cam and headwork, should be close to 700. Thats a beast no matter how you look at it.

I agree, your search and proof of these C7s is making think about getting one myself one day in the future. It seems like a lot of car for relatively little money and great on the track.

Another car I'm eyeing in a year is the Cayman S that's about to come out. It's looking pretty good, power to weight ratio wise. Another handy track car. Completely different of course from the C7, but another kind of good different.

Too many dang cars and too little time...

For reference, Just picked up my 07 z06 2lz w/ 20k mi from the original owner. 78 year old owner still on the original tires for $41k yesterday.

I had my cousin drive my m6 back from the deal and we had a couple runs...I put 5 car length on him and still pulling on every single run. My m6 has a cat back, rpi intake and evolve stage 2 tune that pulled 465whp on the eas dyno

This thing is a hoot to drive! And the grip this has, even on the run flat good years is astonishing. First mod will be an lpe canister and off to Laguna seca I go. I haven't been this happy about a car purchase ummm....ever. Good luck on your search!

Get off those Goodyear runcraps, night and day difference with better tires.

I'm getting Hoosiers, but I'll run the run craps for my first hpde, just to break me in....unless you think it's a bad idea for reasons unknown to me?

When i first bought my Z06 i felt like you...my god does this car grip and handle. Well, i got rid of second gen runcraps and it was night and difference. Car gripped much better.

I ended up getting new wheels all together so needed bigger tires but before i got new wheels all local told me get better tires...i was like WTF ..my car has 2600 miles at the time(i was still on original GY tires).

On my new tires(non goodyear) i was able to go over 1g fairly regularly and car just felt more planted. I could ever get the car to hook in first gear from a 40 roll and Goodyears i couldnt.

You're right to break yourself in go with those tires but eventually get rid of them and you'll love your car even more.

Sweet! congrats. Once you change the run craps out for Michelin PS you'll be further amazed at the handling.

I've always wanted to drive a Z06. When the C7 comes out, I'm going to give it a test drive for sure!

I got the bug for speed again while looking for a Z06 I came across a 98 supra that I did a single turbo conversion and re tuned for 620 HP to the wheels. I can tell you I never think about my M much anymore this car is crazy strong and to think I was going to spend 10k on a supercharger only to get 500 hp and worry about blowing it every time I start the car. I can smack on this thing all day and only worry about tires. The Z06 is a great car all you have to do is drive it and you will be smilling ear to ear.
I've always lusted after that car, but got the M3 for practicality's sake. I'll be looking for a 6MT MKIV in the next 16 months myself. Thought about an R8 V10, but Supras are still one of the top dogs on the food chain on the street. Quite a ride you picked up

I believe your referring to the rocker arm needles and calve seats? Those were from 08-10 models. Besides I picked up a 3/36k gm warranty for 2k. What a joke. I was begging for people to take my $6k for a warranty on my m6. I got declined twice...

And thanks!

What size wheels and tires.

Looking to put some new wheels on a new Z06 but the tire selection is kind of limited.
