Earlier in thread people were saying the 25 is the correct one to get....

Thanks

I actually returned the shorter ones I purchased.

Yours Looks great! I recommend test pipes. Doesn't add noise below 4K. After 4K it screams!

Where did you get the tips from? Which diffuser is that?
Tips got them at Walmart.com and the diffuser on eBay ...

Here is the link

Looks fantastic. How was fitment on the diffuser? Any modification or extra hardware needed? Did you have an exhaust shop spot weld the tips? Maybe I missed it but assuming Magnaflo?

Thanks

Yes it's all on the thread Magnaflow tips 35123's which are longer than the 35125's (these are too short)

Found these as alternative...anyone have experience ? Same specs as the maganaflow ...just a bit more of a slant on the tips than the 35123.

Price is better also.

I just put these on today. Muffler and resonator delete is too loud for me so I might put resonators back on. Car sounds like a mustang gt with and slp exhaust.

Both part numbers that have been referenced in the thread will work, it just depends on how the shop goes about it grinding off the old and welding on the new.

I have the 4.5" (part # 35125) on my stock can.

Just posting this in case you guys cant get part # 35123.

If you want a slant style, go to Jegs and order 4 of part number 231-1226. I'm switching back to Stock and got them for total 120 shipped.

Ok guys I have a question for those that have successfully installed the tips here.

I bought a set of 4 and they don't fit, and won't without some modifications.

See the pics below. Stock tips maybe have 3/8" space. The new tips are much to large to fit directly to the exhaust. I show below the space and what they look like if i force them together.

In your 4Th pic they are angled away...put a clamp on the end and square them up...weld in place. They do fit when mashed together. Here are some pics the best I can get now that it's mounted. As you can see they are not perfectly centered on the old pipes, but from the exterior they appear fine. Also trimmed about 3/8" off the end of the outside pipe to allow it to slide down further, and keep the staggered look

Correct. On mine the tips were welded together.

Thanks guys!

So do you just weld them when clamped at the base? Or do you sneak a weld under the tips more towards the end?

Thanks,
Brian

Bumping this back up.

For those that used the 4.5 inch length (part number 35125), it looks like you'd cut off after the oem rivets and weld to the oem tips, is this correct?

Whereas the longer person (35123) is the same length as oem tips, and so you would remove the oem tips altogether and weld this in place.

Reason I ask is if I were to go with the 4.5 inch tips and weld onto the oem tips, in the future I can always drill out the oem rivets/tip and trade/sell for oem and rivet it myself rather than having to go back to the shop, correct?

If you are using the 4.5" tips don't remove more than this:

You cannot install the new tips over the old. You must drill the old rivets and take the tips off like the picture above.

Then you weld the 4.5" tips on. They're wide and will want to bow away from each other at the tips end, but they can be forced with a clamp to stay square. Kind of a no turning back deal...to go back to stock (why would you) you would have to get the tips unwelded...PITA

Definitely an old thread. It looks like from the picture yours are staggered? Does it fit this was when you push (and weld) the new tips on? Or is this something you requested? I'm trying to determine what the right amount of depth/stagger looks the best.

I kept the stock amount of stagger. I didn't force them staggered, it does that when you remove the old tips and install the new tips
