Here's mine. A great weekend; my instructor was one of the club founders, and he started out tracking this model (back when it was new in the late 70's):

In what car where you hitting 140? That's very quick. There is quite a bit of runoff there at the end of the straight, but from the car it doesn't look like a lot. I agree it doesn't flow like LRP and there are no real high speed turns, but instead it is a very technical course, and I do think there is a lot to be learned there. It forces you to slow the car and make your apexes tight, or you are going to be slow. But I agree they need to make some improvments in terms of saftey.

My car seemed to like that track(i did not lol), maybe because of the shorter wheelbase, i dont know. It is a very technical track for sure, ppl who like to autox, will love this place. |

Chances are we have slightly different definitions of "quite a bit of runoff"
Agreed on the course though, very technical/autoX type course, favors smaller cars. I'd like to go back there in a Miata or e36, the M3 felt out of place size-wise. Last edited by mid-corner fun; 09-24-2014 at 10:18 PM.. |

My sister not looking happy Sliding a bit in the rain on one of my last trips before moving back to the states - I'm in the back of the pic An early picture of some of my first laps at the ring with my son in the backseat loving the ride.

LOL from that angle the runoff doesn't look like much but it's there. The more dangerous area of the track I think is the lefthander entering the oval. The apex is blind and if you don't make it tight it's off camber at the trackout and can send you to the inside wall. I've heard of a lot of crashes there. I do think they have some work to do in terms of adding safety, but I had fun.

Every decent road course has some kind of run of area at the end of long sraight sections, but this one does not. Thats why i said this must one of the worst (in turms of safety) road courses. |

I had the camera on her the whole time. It took me a year to convince her to go to the tracks with me. She was a good sport about it until she got sick, so I felt bad.
