They'll handle better but they are different at the limit. Not sure if these are like Hoosiers but you have to be diligent about managing the tire pressures as well.

What are you going to do with those RS3s?
I was planning on switching to NT01's after the next track weekend (12 sessions). Not sure if you would want them after that, but you could have them.

Once you click on that link you agree to send me 50% of your savings over the RS3s to me.

Every tire I've seen has the dot on it where you line up with the valve stem. Its supposed to achieve the best balance. Or at least that's what I was trained to do when I worked at Just Tires many, many, many years ago.

Lol...I'll bring you my old RS3s and you'll probably realize you have a lot more than 12 sessions in them unless you constantly drift like a crazed lunatic.

You're tossing the RS3s in your original post after one more weekend? Holy shit.. I wish I lived in your neighborhood.

See link above...

And I think he said he's got 2 weekends on them already. The DE he goes to does up to 8 sessions a day per run group.

Works out to around $200 less/set than RS3's, but worth considering. Thanks.

Haha.. how about 50% of my savings in exchange for OP's used RS3's that you've claimed?

I paid $994.50 with shipping. I can't recall where I purchased RS3's, but recall paying close to $1400 shipped. I could also be confusing price with the other 2 sets of Michelins purchased this year.

I was assumming that I have no more than another weekend on the RS3's, due to how much outer (now inner) edges are worn. If they last another couple weekends, then that would be great! I guess I will know for sure after the next weekend. If there is not enough tread to last a second weekend, I will switch to NT01's.

In any case, I'll be following your experience closely, please post whenyou get a chance if you don't mind. There are bound to be some people on the verge of switching to R compounds which would benefit from your post...
You are correct. The NT01's cannot be flipped, and so having enough camber is important. The RS3's were ran mostly on stock camber (hence the outer wear) and I have since installed camber plates and increased camber f-2.1/r-2.0. I was planning on increasing fronts to -2.5 prior to using Nittos. Yes, I will post driving impressions of switching to NT01's including tire wear.

I think there was some debate on the ability to flip. You definitely can't flip PSS' for example because the outer rubber compound is different from the inner blocks so you get crap grip.

The NT01s have the same compound across the tire, just different tread patterns. Which don't matter once you wear them down. So I've read that you can flip nt01s.

If the inner and outer compounds are the same, then this makes sense. The outer blocks are however, considerable larger. My vote is for increasing camber (which I have already done) and only rotating to rear as needed.

For reference, I expect to get 2-3 more sessions at a minimum out of these...right at 3/32 in the middle, 2/32 on the outer edges.

Thanks for sharing. Now I'm expecting at least another 24 sessions. This would be close to the 50 sessions you are getting on your E46.

Yes, you have PLENTY of tread left. Stop being a sissy and just add some more front camber!

Yeah but you pussed out on your first try...-2.1? C'mon! My grandma has more negative camber!

You're lucky you fixed that because we'd all mericlessly make fun of your lack of camber.
