I have debated long and hard about putting my NRA Life Member sticker on the M since it might invite vandalism from the liberal assholes we have in this state.

In answer to the original question- as far away from the general population as possible.

You're in the people's republic of NY, so your fear may very well be warranted. I grew up there and my parents still live there -- my mother is in the process of getting her pistol permit and it's taken over a year at this point and they're still holding it up -- they can't wait to move down here.

This is an old shot that I had to share. It's not a public garage - it's limited access connected to my office building.

And it's never actually this empty - I must have been leaving late that day.

But it does get my point across, of where I'd like to always be able to park my car when it's away from the safety of my garage at home!

well yes if the owner happens upon him otherwise what foot traffic is there going to be for the zero other cars. im not saying its right but if you set yourself apart like that it says to society im better than you, my car is more important than yours, and the right type of have not person will take offense and stick it to you.

Vandals tend to be lazy. You'll notice the level 6 sign - are they really going to walk up all those stairs to jack with my girl?

no probably not but you get my point. its also a secure private lot which is different from going to walmart then parking in the boonies. you will come back with some prius lady taking a dump on your car or something.

disclaimer: i have never been to walmart and i have never did my business on someones hood. yet.

Same here. My VA doc gave me a disabled tag in college due to 10 mile hikes across campus and people looked at me strange when I got out of my hooked up 350Z (college car).

The place at work I always parked was at the very end at the back of our parking lot. I spent about 3 hours cleaning and detailing my car this Sunday. I get ready to go to work Monday morning and its pouring rain. I say to hell with it and stay home and work. My friend at work parks his Explorer where I usually park and somebody sideswipes his car and takes off. No more parking at the end of the line for me!

Good for you.

If it was a public lot, I'd still probably pick a place like this. Crime and vandalism seem to be a little less of a concern in these parts, though...

I have been to Walmart, and I don't park on the opposite end of the lot - usually just far enough away from the rest of the cars that I'm fairly confident no one will park next to me. I also never go at times when it's going to be chock full of people.

tulsa really has lower crime and vandalism. is that because of fear the owner will shoot first and ask questions later?
