Active Autowerke + RKP Sport X-Pipe
Hello beautiful people!
I'm curious to know if anyone has any experience with this setup or close to it. I got the AA v2 axle back about 2 weeks ago. It started off annoyingly bassy and it got better and better. After maybe 200-300 miles the bass until 2.4k-ish rpms is now tolerable but still fairly loud for me. My issue is that the slower I drive, the louder it is... over 3k RPM the sound is pretty much at stock levels. Would putting the sport x-pipe get rid of some of the low end bass and make it fairly louder as I get on it? Or any rec's on how I can achieve that? Car is currently stock other than the AA rear. My goal was to have a deeper sounding tone that's why I went with the AA. Merci |

I'd give it a bit longer to smooth out, mine (V1) was the exact same way when I first installed it. Now it's only full of bass during cold start and when the engine isn't warmed up yet. Once at operating temps, there's virtually no drone, maybe a little while driving slowly up to 3k as you mentioned, or I got used to it. Either way I think it still sounds fantastic.
I did have an IPE x-pipe with high flow cats, non resonated, when I initially installed the rear section and it was stupid loud. I raced a 5.0 mustang that day windows down and all I could hear was me. |
