Show me your refinished ZCP m359 wheels!

Curious on everyone's refinished ZCP wheels!
Especially on refinished Hyper Silver colors. I know it's a hard match but want to see if anyone has gotten close to the OEM Hyper Silver color.

Shouldn't be too difficult to match. It's not the same premium glasurit paint that the E46 CSL wheels use.

Make sure to have them painted, not powder coated, if you want a true hypersilver metallic look. Power comes out too flat and dull.

Curious to see people's sets as well, good thread idea!

Curious as well. Just bought my E90 after looking for a year (supposed to be delivered next week). It has black 359's and I'm really considering having them redone silver.

Just discussed to a local company who does wheels. He stated its very hard but can get as close as possible. Will take 4-5 days. Powder primer - hyper silver paint - powder clear. It's pricier than other places I've gotten quotes from. I'm thinking of turning GTS satin black to hyper silver as I am not a big fan of panda car theme. If I do go with it this Spring, I will update

I think it's a fairly hard match. Perhaps specialist shops can get awfully close, but it won't be exact. My original 359s were coated gunmetal by the PO and I wanted to return to Hyper Silver. After discussing with local shops, I ended up selling my gunmetal set and buying a new set in Hyper Silver. I wanted exact, not close.
I also suspect most pictures of refinished wheels would not show the difference well - the difference would really need to be seen side by side and/or in person. I do know a few people here have tried to refinish in Hyper Silver and were ultimately not happy with the outcome. Sure, most shades of silver still look nice, but if you want Hyper Silver ...

The oem ZCP silver isn’t all that nice tbh. If you’re trying to match the exact color, good shops can come close. If you’re doing a whole set, I’d just get a nice deep hyper silver paint code.

I’m planning on redoing mine in BASF 121. It’s closer to the E46 CSL hyper silver which was much nicer.

It's appaling how cheap/dull the 359 wheel finish is compared to the German BBS 163s with glasuirt.

Probably a cost issue given the economic climate at the time? Otherwise, poor decision.

They do look good. Were these hyper silver going into the shop already for refinishing?

Thank you to all, I got them back from being refinished. Will see how durable the finish is now.

They look better than the dull factory finish! Awesome

Those look great, probably the closest match to a refinish I have seen. I agree with the above, the factory finish is not dull at all when they're clean.

Maybe, but I wouldn't call them [super] dull in absolute terms.

Okay.

I'm very disappointed with them, but probably because I'm coming from OE CSL wheels.

Anyway, poster above looks to have gotten a superb job done, which is so nice to see when every other refinish job I see is quite awful (powercoat can't do hypersilver).

E46 ZCP/CSL wheels are certainly special. Your E46 looked 10x better on them than the ARC8s, but you already knew that.

You can just give them to whoever the refinisher is...the actual color code of the silver that’s used for the 359M Wheel. It’s called Dekorsilber and it’s code A55. Not sure if theres a PC that can match it...

Getting my set refinished in gloss black. Going powder coat over paint. Will share photos when done. In my opinion paint looks the best but as a daily driver I'll sacrifice some looks for the durability of powder coat.
