Satellite radio reception problems

Up until a few days ago my sat radio was working flawlessly, only dropping out briefly at known dead spots like an underpass. Now it frequently drops out and displays "acquiring" and I noticed that there is no reception bars ever in the top right of the screen (see pic). What would cause this to happen? I didn't change or mod anything. It just started a few days ago and it's very annoying to the point of going back to FM radio. My car is a 2011 E92 M3 competition pack. Help!
