I will follow the thread, your project is amazing !

Are the Profi SPG XL seats the same as the ones in the M3 GTS ? Or in this one are they the normal version ? In addition, where did you do the job with the alcantara and leather ? I don't think they are like that when they come out the factory of Recaro. I ask that 'cause I will be in Germany till March 2015

No they are not coming this way. By far not. I let an upholsterer do the alcantara / leather work and it turned out nicely. Anyhow it took him waaaaaay too long as if I can recommend him. Too bad since itīs so nice work...

Awesome built thread! An inspiration to us all. Where did you get your front flaps (canards)? I'm interested! Can't wait to see more!

Sub'd!

Great info/details for an outstanding track car! Hope to do something similar to my M3 one day...

Are you doing most of the work yourself? Or do you have BMW-trained mechanic who is helping you out?

Cheers, & HNY!

Subscribed - very cool. What time difference do you think youll pick up at the ring off weight and suspension alone?

I'm doing it together with a friend who has the knowledge I don't have at all. I'm just a fast driver.

The car should gain something around 15s at the Ring on a BTG round.

15 seconds is a lot. Can't wait to see the finished car doing a fast lap on the Ring, or somewhere else.

In about two weeks the M3 will get it's roll cage. I'm really excited and I hope that we will get the car ready for the installation in time. There's still plenty to do...

This is how the cage will look like:

The car will not only become much safer with it but also torsion resistent as hell. It will be nice to feel the road better and being able to tell what's going on with the car than before.

I talked to Lucian yesterday and he said to me that you're continuing with the M392. Awesome news - looking forward to race with you again in spring/summer!

How light is your car at the moment and what do you think will it weight when you've done it "Radical"?
