It probably is only worth at best a very small increment for 1/2" more wheel width and maybe (who knows actually) the springs. If they do this it will make it like it was when I bought my M3 where the non-ZCP was more desirable since the best tires were not yet available in 19" sizes and no diameter changes were allowed in the rules.

You’d run the 275/35-18 on either set of wheels just a bit more pinched now with the +- an inch rule I think being lower and the extra camber that gets you is probably worth about the same as the wheel width, not huge a tenth or three maybe but non-zero

Has anyone seen anything on what class the M2C is going to be put in?

If anyone is interested in a set of FS legal TCK double adjustable struts and shocks (they need a rebuild), please see my FS ad in my signature. They have the lower spring perch which accepts the M3 OE springs, and I have a set of ZCP springs and top hats to make them in to operational units. I've take photos, but they are too large to upload and I looking at getting them hosted.

I don't think I'm in the market for these, but could you briefly describe what difference (if any) you found they made in the car's behavior?

I can't say as I bought them used off of Kerry Emmert, the owner of the 1M co-driven by Jeremy Foley, in 2017 when we crossed paths in grid waiting for my work assignment. He told me they needed a rebuild but were already Street legal as they have the lower spring perch which fits the OE spring. I figured I'd send them out to Pro Parts or Truechoice and try them out but never got around to it. I've got a spare set of springs and top hats so they could be PNP if anyone is interested. i did this so you could measure the outgoing units side by side so you can insure/document height compliance.

While we're in the buying/selling mood, I have my FS wheel or wheel and tire setup for sale. I weighed these and they were IIRC the same weights as the Apex ARC8's.

*It still says draft* but the new rule book doesn't look like any e9x M3 was removed from FS. Was the e46 M3 previously in FS too? Is it just me or are there a lot more cars listed in FS than there were before?

I'm cautiously optimistic that the new FS class description of "Heavy high horsepower RWD vehicles in the spirit of 'V8 Pony Cars'," is meant to be inclusive of the E9x. We'll see...

We'll see. I went ahead and bought tires. I run some early season local, regional and Nat'l events, and see how I feel about it. Even if this is the last hurrah, I really like driving the M3. If I move, it will likely be into a Type R.

i actually thought the opposite when I read that part, but it's also a head scratcher given they wanted to parse out the ZCP from the regular M3, still includes e46, etc. etc. etc. but yea, we will see I guess. I've wanted this car for FOREVER, not letting scca dictate which car and which trim I should buy any longer

The E9xM has perfect gearing, fits good tire, can get competitively light and it's narrow compared to the superponies and even the turbo M's. I don't think it's as quick as the M2 or 1M or F8x, but it's not more than a second slower either. Still going to compete in most places even if it goes to BS IMO, just not a top car anymore
But it's BS to send the ZCP to BS, just send all of the E9xM there or don't touch it

Textar or stock, IMO. No need for anything else.
