Do you tip?

Seeing we're on the topic of tipping, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to see who does.

EDIT: Put what you do most of the time.

Okay, I tip if the service is initially good, which do I vote for? Also, this better be a public poll, or you fail!

Ha ha. I guess it depends on whether you get good service most of the time (and therefore tip most of the time), or get bad service most the time (and therefore don't tip most of the time).

Bottom line is if the service is good, tip well. If not then do not tip well. Most waiters make just a few bucks an hour plus tips to their wages are merit based.

It really depends on how good the service is.

Usually when I eat out at restaurants with my friends, if we're ina big group and we're reallyy rowdy, the gratuity is already included in the check but we leave more than what is on the check because we know we were a pain.

If I'm out wiht a few friends and we're "normal" we usually just leave a 25% ishh tip give or take.

I only tip vallet a dollar. IM CHEAP. the parking itself is already $5.00 at our mall. I cant afford to tip.

I don't tip in the hotel for the maids but I think my parents usually leaves liek 2-3$ for the maid. i dunnoooo

OH and the pizza delivery guy! we give him 5$ all the time

I never tip below 15%, even if the service sucked! If the service was good, I usually tip 20%+.

Why not? I mean, a tip is like extra for them because they went beyond and above. A tip is like sayhing, HEY THANKS for being so great! If they sucked why should they get a tip?

Always tip. Common sense + common courtsey. Sucks for them that the resturant takes a percentage out of their tips as well. Don't know that that practice applies to all resutrants.

I avoid using valet, and if I have to I park my car myself.

sometimes theres really just no parking in the mall parking lot and its hott and its easier to just pay 5$ adn have someone park it for you. you'd probably waste just as much money driving around for 30 minutes trying to find parking. its the biggest pain.

Actually, I've calculated this before, and the most distance you'd cover in 30 minutes is less than 3 miles. $5 would roughly buy two gallons of 93 AKI gas.

You are correct. However, you could always take the bus to the mall.
