Got mine done over the weekend. No issues, except they washed my car when I told them only to vacuum!

My recall took just about 2-3 hours. Don't know why, but right after the recall I had a rattle, coming from the driver's cupholder.

And, yeah, they washed my car, too, even though I told the service advisor to make notes not do it.

Dropped mine off at 08:00 and got it back at 15:00. Zero issues. I specifically requested my friend ( fellow bmw tech) do the repair since he's the only one there I trust to do it right. He replaced the cable and the FSU.

My dealer prints out 8.5x11 signs ,one say no wash and other day no vacuum. They put them on the dash that you really can’t miss. Never had issue with them not following no wash/vac instructions.

Yeah, luckily my SA was good enough to make sure it wasn't washed. Sadly, this dealership is going downhill.

Speaking of...just put our deposit down on the Taycan, at a competent and friendly Porsche dealership

Dealer only used for recalls and annual inspection, and that's it.

Unreal story about your SA, I'd say you're joking, but with young kids these days I'm not surprised anymore by ridiculous stories like that.

Also, any chance you have your old blower cable, or had them take a photo, I had mine done and had them take a picture of it, cable showed very little wear, no damage, still glad I had it done, so was just curious if you know what yours looked like?

Same. The only time I brought the car to the dealer after buying it for anything other than a recall was an alignment, and after they told me the cost...never again!

I didn't ask to see anything, though...I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Haha

Fair enough, I don't blame you one bit.

2 hours in and out. No drama for me. I put my own do not wash sign on the idrive screen a a nice note inside the OBD2 area letting them know not to flash my ecu. Works every time.

Dude that's a pretty good idea, I haven't had the issue of them washing or plugging in the OBD when I told them not to, but printing out a piece of paper and folding it up in the glove compartment for later use....doing that!
