do u attach just the license, or the holder and screw the license on that?
velcro sounds good... how do u attach that to the bumper?

double sided tape sounds good too, but then will it hold the weight of the holder + plate?

get that license plate holder that attaches to the bottom of your car and it flips up. There's an automatic one and a manual one. I forget the name but it's somewhere on these forums

i dunno if double sided tape is a good idea b/c it might damage the paint when you pull it off.

Make it look like the plate is screwed onto your bumper - attach the screw heads to the plate - and then double-sided tape it (or velcro it) to the bumper.

Now I remember - there's a bracket that screws into the tow hook that you can use. It's also somewhere on this forum.

just curious where did you get pulled over? Did they follow you? What do you drive, when i was in my volvo they would follow me and look for reasons to pull me over, in my f150 they do not so much as look at me. Wonder how it will be with my modded 1?

Just tape the plate right to the bumper. Take a shitty picture and sent it to them and youre done

well he saw me, u-turned then followed me about 5 cars away. then got next to me behind a car. what's fucked up is right in front of him a truck dude got bored of waiting at a red light, so the guy decided to just take off on red. right in front of the cop. the cop completely ignored him and followed me. that was on main/von karman.

Only 3M double sided foam tape can hold something that heavy. Using painter's tape (3M blue type only) underneath to prevent damage to the paint is a good idea

Showing :finger: to the cop while driving off after he signs you off is a bad idea

I can't believe you posted this question, didn't you and I have a long-ass discussion about this before? I received a ticket (months ago) for having no front plate. I took the license plate bracket (if you don't have it, I do... and it's Alpine White ) and attached the license plate to it, then attached velcro on the reverse side where it touches the front bumper. I also put 3M blue painters tape on the front bumper and then adhesive velcro over the blue painters tape. I attached the aforementioned apparatus to the car about a block away from the ticket-sign-off location. Note: I did not attach the screws to the bottom of the bracket/bumper, just make sure it's secure enough with the velcro.

just tell long to drill 2 holes under the nose of your bumper (right above your mesh). Then have him cut 2 L brackets for you and screw it on. Take it off when you got it signed off. This way the holes cant be seen but are still there if you ever need to put it back on (i.e. for bimmerfest, another fix it ticket, etc etc). We all did this for bimmerfest last year.
