Y'all need to get this QuickJack!

Got around to setting up my Christmas present from the old lady.

OMG, where have you been all my life QuickJack? This thing rocks, got ample room to work comfortably underneath, the height is just about perfect.

I'm jealous! ...been eyeing this for a while, saw they had a deal on them at Costco recently, I just don't have enough work to do on the car (yet) to justify pulling the trigger. For now my race ramps will have to do.

Anyone else a little sketched out getting under the car regardless of what is holding it up? I guess looking up at the underside of your car while under it just seems.. well... intimidating. Who knows maybe its just me being a baby...

Dont be scared. It was sketchy for me at first but then you realize how sturdy these are. After the first few times you stop caring about it.

Yup, I did a rocking test and it felt much more stable than when they were on jack stands.

Funny, I emailed my "wish list" to the wife with the link to the Costco deal. The QuickJack was on my porch like 3 days later.

although these aren't for me, they aren't unsafe by any stretch. no reason to be scared.

May consider if it costs $300. But at $1000+, it's a stretch. Will just use jacks and/or ramps.

When I was a teenager I'd spend full days under cars- putting transmissions in, hanging exhaust, running new brake lines, whatever.

As a 35 year old I really don't want to get under it.

Turns out getting older is making be a bit of a bitch.

I think with age we become to knowledgeable of the unknown which we would have cared less about when we were younger... hahaha

These jacks are limited in that you can work on the car from the side....only front or rear.

I bought one a month ago when they went on sale at CostCo for $999 and free shipping. It's literally a 2 minute job to get these in position and lift the car. I'll be able to knock out oil changes now without scheduling my friends hoist. Wheel off detailing is also a snap. I might have a friend or two who will borrow it from time to time and if I ever upgrade, it'll always be worth $450 used. I store them under the M3 when not in use.

If you prefer, you can place the QuickJacks "sideways" if the job requires it.

It's hard for me to get excited about these. Too bulky, less height.

The small mid to high rise scissor lifts are a lot more interesting.
