Once you've got your car running on autopilot, would you mind coming out and showing me some of the shift points on the track? Just try not to cook my rotors

Anytime! Never cooked rotors - thats Duncan's specialty!

Calabogie is such a great track - the 991 is going to be in its element!

Orientation session is well worth it if you have not been there before. Lots of corners to learn!

No - the bearing is exposed as well - the rubber boot on it is shredded a bit. Either the link somehow got it, or something else damaged them both. I want to get everything checked out, replaced and do alignment etc. Most likely no much work, but I'm coming back second week of July only.

Right now, Calabogie has a couple lapping days on July 14-15 (Sat/Sun) which are regular CMP days, and the BMW Club of Ottawa has a three-day event from July 20-22 (Fri-Sun). If anyone has other suggestions, i'm all ears.
Woohoo, I'm in for July 14-15. I'll organize a fun drive up on Friday for those interested in some back road driving.

Cool, I'm in. What about accommodations? Can you swing a deal on that too?

Hello all - new to the forum but have met a few of you at recent track events (2011 Monte Carlo Blue E92 M3 formerly belonging to another member). I'm in for both 14th and 15th (and the twisty drive up Fri if we get that coordinated). Never done Calabogie before so will be doing the orientation - other than that, is it open to all skill levels (i usually run in the intermediate group)?

Check with Cmp as they are organizing these days.

Amin and I are in for the 15th.

I would prefer to do the 14th, but I think I have to work that day at this point.

I'm still in for both days! Checked with CMP - they'll only have 2 run groups (novice and experienced), and I'm okay to run in the experienced group with the orientation (instructors also available for a fee, so probably a good option for the first day).

That's good news! Looks like we've got a good group of people who'll be able to make the trip.

I've tentatively booked two cottages at the Peaks for the July 13-15 weekend, each cottage has three bedrooms, and there is a pull-out in the living room. Duncan is also looking into other accommodations, but at least we now have something firm as a backup plan (can cancel 7 days before).

Also I am organizing a drive up to Calabogie on Friday and another one back home on Sunday. Many of my favorite back roads will be covered. Please see this thread if you are interested:

Thanks,

Euh.... nevermind.

Hubby doesn't want me to do the track thing yet. Wants us to buy a used vehicle for that next year.
