I would say on a closed track like that, where everyone is paying attention to whats going on, I would actually feel safer. You see the nut job biatches doing their make-up, yapping on a cell, smoking a cigarette, drinking coffee, and texting on their blackberries oh, and yeah driving in and out of lanes... I rest my case.

I think we as a society have gone from one extreme of no child safety to overemphasis on safety.

(e.g. I remember sitting in the front bench of the family station wagon with no car seat and no seat belt. yeah yeah I am old...)

Of course I don't recommend reckless behavior, but a lot of us have grown up in a less safe time, and we all turned out ok. Too many damn hippy liberals scaring everyone into bubble wrap....

(steps down from soapbox)

Nope. Rush Hour traffic IS pretty crazy. Never wore a seat belt when I was a kid either. I'm just saying, I wouldn't put someone in the car that needs a child seat and go out tracking. (Just a little higher risk than going to the mall)
Anyway, as I said great video and nice cars.

At least there won't be any soccer mom's blabbing on their cell phones running you off the road as they blindly merge onto the highway.

I'd just make sure that I am familiar with the track first, that's all.

BTW, who here is over 30 and grew up riding in car seats? Very few.

Dangerous? Try living in Seoul, Korea. You can get ran over just walking out your front door. You can't see sh1t backing out of my garage which goes right into the street. No sidewalk. So basically I just pray no one is coming. Not to mention motorcycles riding on sidewalks, lots of traffic, roads barely wide enough to fit 2 cars with people on both sides, and plenty of bad drivers.

I'll take my chances driving around a closed course with relatively well trained drivers.

Loved the video, I'm booked to go to the ring 4 weekends this year but the first visit isn't until June...

I've not tracked mine at all yet and I REALLY can't wait. In June we're doing the ring and Spa on the same weekend though so that'll be great.

I wish my dad would have taken me out when I was so young...great vid...but as a kid I do remember being put on the gas tank of his Enduro while I held on to the handle bars every summer vacation in the Dominican Republic until I was too old to sit on top of tank, I guess thats why I love riding motorcycles soooo much great memories

If it is, then Im in the same boat as you. I made the exact same noise as the kids in the bumpy banked corners...

That was an awesome video. I for one am totally for taking the kids to the track, Its safer than many interstates as many have said here.

Great driving, and I am extremely jealous that you got to drive on the ring.

someday for me.
