New E92 Owner in New England
After being a member of the BMWCCA for 15 years I finally bought my first BMW, a 2009 E92. I originally joined many years ago so that I could participate in their local DE's using whatever sports car I had at the time. I could never drop the membership once I started reading the Roundel, it's that good.
Always thought the V8 M cars always had the best sound. When I realized the V8 M3's were no longer in production I knew I had to have one. Found this one on Autotrader with only 14,000 miles on it fairly local in New England. I wanted to try DCT so it has it, no iDrive, which I didn't want. I like the clean lines of the dash better without it. I was going to put a Borla or Corsa cat back on it and this one already had the Corsa with the chrome black tips. What a sound! Carbon fiber roof and 19" wheels plus 3M paint protection. Took it on it's first long trip up to Camden, ME and to the top of Mt. Battie overlooking the harbor, 600 miles round trip. This car is great on long trips. The suspension is so compliant (EDC) which is important on pot holed New England roads. And it has long legs and can gobble up mile after mile effortlessly. The front seats are fantastic with so many adjustments it's easy to find a comfortable position. My biggest problem? Parking it in public. I'm too paranoid someone is going to leave a door ding or back into it. Just glad I didn't buy it new, it would be even harder to find the first dent. Welcome and congrats! After reading your history, I'm curious what cars have you owned in the past if this is your first BMW? Very clean car and at 14,000 miles it's practically brand new! Enjoy it in good health!

Over the years I was driving Datsun/Nissan 240Z, 280ZX, 300ZX, 300ZX Twin Turbo, Corvette ZO6 and a VW R32 (Mk IV). A Porsche Cayman S currently shares garage space with the M3.
