Caught in a swarm of M3/4's

Hello.

My daughter and I just finished our European Delivery of her 328i. On the 23rd of August, while driving from Munich toward the Italian side of the Stelvio Pass, and leaving Germany on the approach to Austria, we found ourselves in the midst of a swarm of 2014 and 2015 MY M3's, M4's, M5's, and M6's. It was pretty cool! I mean, seriously, this was about fifteen vehicles, with an M6 cabriolet in the front, and a woman in the back seat hanging a gigantic lens on a camera, shooting backwards at the string of cars.

We were about to reach the German-Austrian border, and we had hoped to meet up with them to ask about their route (and if we could "tag" behind) when a bunch of them were detained by the Zoll and Polzei -- unknown reason. Here's a pic of a them, including one being searched.

Well, hope they had fun anyways. The Alps were just ahead, and I'm sure they were going to have a blast on the mountain roads!

Nice, I'm guessing many of them were likely earlier Euro delivery customers trying to get the full experience.
