Prices on e92 ZCP 6mt

Still searching for the right e92 M.
What are the average prices that people pay or paid for a lower mileage vehicle? It seems like prices are everywhere.
Im looking at ZCP,6MT,white/blue e92 with a good maintenance history
I feel like i will forever look for one and end up buying an M2 because I can’t find the one I like and want.

This is such an insanely generic question to ask with a multitude of factors that will determine the $. Rather pointless, really...

Look on Cars.com and Autotrader for vehicles that match your criteria. Throw them in an Excel document and look at the asking prices and go from there.

That should easily give you a good idea of what you can expect to pay for a car of your desired criteria.

It’s generic but at the same time it’s a genuine question. I’ve been lurking and have an idea but I don’t know how much people are actually paying for them. Therefore, I am genuinely curious if the price I’m thinking in my head is a reasonable price lol
But good idea on the excel , thanks

Are you 100% stuck on a comp car? Also, what options (or lack of) are you looking for? Finally, do you want a 6speed, or DCT, sunroof, or CF roof?

Add $$ for CF roof, 6speed, comp package. Especially a low mileage example, can command a high price. Really depends on your budget.

If you're looking for direction, (and without knowing your requirements) I'd say budget anywhere from low $30's to high $40's.

A low mileage stripper comp car with a 6speed, and bearings done could be pushing $50k these days. BaT example below. Add $4-$5k for individual colors, or frozen options.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2013-bmw-m3-44/

Comp (and I am not looking to get into a debate here), is really personal choice. The 359M wheels can be sourced used, or new, and EDC is take it or leave it IMO. I don't see the value, unless you're looking specifically for the ZCP code in your options list.

So anyway, ask yourself what you're really looking for and I think there is enough data in the forum classifieds, and on BaT to give you a good enough answer.

Good luck!

That sounds like a deal! Was it from a private or dealer?

Good call on the Comp, as I don’t really mind the EDC. I do care about the carbon roof though. I guess I just want to buy one before some crazy price inflation happens haha
Thanks!!

Look at dealers, because MMR on these cars is still fairly low. If they get one in on trade, you can probably steal it.

I looked casually for about 6 months and then seriously for at least another 6 months before I found my car. I test drove 11 before I bought mine. Some were serious options, others were just close by that I could view to get a better handle on the cars and what should be expected from certain mileage, owners, etc...

Doing this helped me learn a lot about what to look for. For example, I met one owner who changed his oil every 11k miles like BMW said to. He's not a bad guy, but I'm not buying that car.

I drove a few hours to look at one.

I ended up buying mine from a forum member in another state and had it shipped to me. Paid $30k for 58k miles on by far the cleanest one I'd seen yet. Well maintained, all records, etc...

I confess mine is DCT. I was absolutely dead set on 6MT before I actually tried the DCT. Once I did, I fell in love. It's an amazing transmission. I've never owned a car without a third pedal before this one.

It will take time, don't rush it. Know what you want and be patient.

Try some WTB listings on this forum if you haven't already to let it be known what you're looking for. That's how I found mine. It wasn't even for sale at the time.

That's just it - what people paid depends on so many factors as well: their needs, the seller's situation, their local market, their negotiation skills, etc, etc there are far too many subjective things at play.

It doesn't help your specific situation at all, really... :

Figure out what the asking prices are for the cars you're serious about and then what you're comfortable paying. The rest is completely irrelevant.

That's a great deal. It's been 3 months of searching and I'm losing faith.

Three months is nothing. I searched for well over a year before I found something I was happy with.

Yeah, I guess it'll be a long journey before I find the one.

I may have the car you’re looking for. Pondering selling in the next month or so to move into a GT3.

‘11 zcp, interlagos on bamboo, 6MT, e92, 35k miles, stock, minty. Bought it 1 year ago from the original owner and forum member here.

Only “knock” against it is it has a sunroof. I thought I cared about a cf roof too until I actually got the car and haven’t cared one bit since. Also interlagos is a darker blue and almost too close, color wise, to the dark cf roof that it looks a bit odd, imo, with the cf rook. Just not enough contrast. Now, a CF roof on alpine white, absolutely, but not as much of a fan on the darker cars.

Anyway, still deciding on whether or not to sell. I paid a premium for the car when I bought it 1 year ago and I feel like the market for these cars has only strengthened since then. PM me if serious.

that's funny.... i ended up buying an M2 because I got impatient. a few months later I found my e92. guess which one gathered dust in the garage?

i have not seen any recent comps on low mileage clean and stock e92 ZCP 6MT's. i keep hoping to see one come up on BaT.

I searched for over year before I found my E92 m3. I bought it in March of 2015...a lot harder to find a good one 5 years later.

ZCP's come in a lot of different flavors. I too am looking to buy one and I think I have a pretty good idea of what the market values are like. Ill try to break it down for you as best as I can so you can get an idea.

'13 ZCP, 6MT, CF roof, sub 50k in IB,LMB,MR: expect to pay 36-40 grand. if it has speed cloth seats and no navi, it will be 40-45 grand all day long. for cars with leather and navi subtract 2-3 grand if optioned with sunroof, 3-4 grand for DCT, 2-3 grand for white/black/silver colors. if mileage is between 50-75k then you're looking somewhere in the 33-36 range. all bets are off about everything i just said if mileage dips below 20k

same exact specs as above go for about 4 grand less for a 2011 and 2 grand less for 2012. for example, an '11 MR, ZCP, 6MT with CF roof, navi and 50k should be about 32-34 grand

I bought my E92 in April and think I got a pretty good deal. Black/black 2013, 6MT, ZCP, CF, Nav, Cold and Premium packages with 44k miles for $29,750. Black is not my favorite but I couldn't pass it up. I've been watching the market before and after the purchase and similar cars seem to go in the mid to high 30s. I love it though so I really suggest going for it!
