Can an amber EML light be triggered by...

...a low battery?

I had to move my car around (a few yards) several times in the last couple of weeks, without any longer runs, so the low batter warning message appeared on the iDrive.

I used a CTek charger for about 36 hours, and everything seemed OK when I drove the car (start/stop functioned) but the small EML light came on amber and did not go off after 40+ miles two days ago. This was the dedicated light near the top of the display, not the larger indicator immediately above the mileage display.

Still on this morning - no idrive warning messages though.

Any ideas (not involving Carly...!)
